Hi there, I'm going on vacation in 11 days and am on the hunt for a good book. I am looking to get lost in the book (whether by the world, the characters, the situation), maybe work through a bit of melancholy and have a good cry. But I also don't want the book to make me feel like crap or sink into a deeper depression reading it. The best example I can use to describe how I want to feel is the movie 'Everything, Everywhere All at Once.' Or how Jo March feels consistently throughout 'Little Women.'
Right now I'm thinking 'Wild' or 'When Women Were Dragons,' but I am open to any suggestions. Any help recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
You should read The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen. Trust me oh my gosh this book was so insane I could not put it down and when I finished reading it I was speechless I just could not function all day I just kept having flashbacks of the entire book.
