YA Horror/Fantasy Picture Book with "Search the page" for keys/rotten fruit/coins etc

Im looking for a book that i remember to be a3.
With a "wheres wally" type format. Where you had to search the page for items to progress your adventure.

Some spread pages i remember vaguely are:
A sewer with rats.
An extremely dusty Kitchen.
A laboratory.
Possibly a dungeon.

On each page you would have to find certain items.
Rotten eggs
Banana peels
Keys
Coins etc.

The drawing style was graphic / horror. Very detailed and well illustrated.

Potentailly for ages 10 - 16

I remember this from childhood so potentiality 15-20 years old??

Dragon Quest

It has Smelly Sewers where you have to search for rotten eggs and banana skins. There is a Giant's Kitchen.

It's also on one or several of the lists that Capn mentioned.
