Makenna | 97 comments I personally don’t like when there are cartoon people or animals let alone real ones on the cover so I think that the most beautiful looking books that I’ve read (that are also def in my top 5) would be the Dance of Thieves duology. The books go: Dance of Thieves, and then Vow of Thieves. They are fantasy and there are MANY different tropes, including but not limited to: forced proximity trope, fake dating trope, and most importantly enemies to lovers! Do not get intimidated in the first 50ish pages by all of the new world building. Just jump in and have a good time. You have to push through those first 50 pages and then the plot picks up and never stops! I’m going to re-read it soon and annotate it! Kazi is the MC, and she has a tragic backstory (that will have you sobbing) that leaves her with only her two best friends, Wren and Synove for family. All three of them are part of the queens most esteemed guard FOR A Different Kingdom. But they are sent to travel to Jaces kingdom, to complete a mission. (You already know that is going to cause some drama) you are then acquainted with Jace, in line for the throne. You also meet his millions of brothers and sisters that you will not be able to keep track of lol. And OBVIOUSLY Kazi has to be rebellious and against everything. 1: because she is the main character and 2: because she is part of the queens highest guard.
