Tien (tiensblurb) | 1641 comments Life on the moon isn't so great. Defying all her "potential", Jasmine Bashara's become a porter (something like uber delivery) and supplementing her income with a side of smuggling. She's still barely making enough to live on. She's so tough, so very resilient and heartbreakingly broken; angry at the world and herself. She got me right in the heart; brilliant characterisation with amazing supportive cast as foils.

It took some setup but around about 1/3 of the way through, this book was just unbearably unputdownable. It was adrenalin pumping, action- packed suspense. I just had to know how it all ended. What a magical ride this book was; totally unexpected. To me, this reads more like an action thriller with an off-planet setting. Highly recommended!

Tien (tiensblurb) | 1641 comments I've just discovered Andy Weir -well, he's been on the radar for ages and now I'm midway through Project Hail Mary and loving that too and smacking myself for waiting so long to read his books! Love his characters/characterisations so far!

I was that way a year ago! Even I loved the audio of Project Hail Mary - used a free audible after reading it to listen to how Rocky was done.

Tien (tiensblurb) | 1641 comments Oh! The first time I heard Rocky, I was like, what was that!? 🤣

But totally brilliant!!

annapi | 5505 comments Ok, you have piqued my curiosity about how Rocky sounds like - now I will have to look into the audio!

I read the book when many others were reading it and they all commented about how great the audio was.

Book Concierge (tessabookconcierge) | 8419 comments YES ... Rocky definitely needs to be experienced in audio!
