17 Steps To The Top
I like 17 steps to the top...I wish I could work in Haiku into a name since Haiku is a poem with 17 syllables.

Ezi - Are you going to be our captain?"
If I am elected to serve by the people, I shall :D

For the team name, 17 Steps To The Top sounds good. And Ezi, you have my vote as well.

Thanks y'all, I accept the nomination of Captain. LMAO! I will let Jenne know our team name is 17 Steps to the Top
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW
SS Challenge R3 Begins: Friday, March 20
La Capitan/La jefe Ezi or a teammate with lucky dice hand will roll right after Thursday midnight, which is 12:01am on Friday and post the number.
If you all want, we can take turns rolling.
HOUSE KEEPING:
1. I would like each team member to choose books as quickly as they can. you can always change your mind if the book sucks. But I would like decisive action so you can begin reading fast.
➜Post Name of Book, series and number, and then how many Pages. Books must be at least 150 pages
Example: Vision in Silver (the Others #3); 368 pages per GR
❖Standalone books can be used for a 1 or a 0
❖First in a series can be used for a 1
2. I would like each team member to check in at least twice a week. That's minimum. Please let us know stuff like "my kids are sick so reading is slow."; "My book is slow and/or sucks"; "I don't have this book, can someone loan it to me?" etc"
Please let us know what's going on.
3. Ask questions if you are unsure, especially when it's one of those Cover color shelf--Red Cover. If you are unsure your book meets the requirements ask me or Jenne. I would rather know that then find out AFTER you read a book that it won't work.
4. This is a competition. Let's have fun, but treat it as such. Don't fall behind on your books because we can't roll until all reviews are in.
5. Feel free to chat in here. Like if you happen to see Insurgent before me. #IloveFourTobiasEaton.
Whatever you wanna chat about.
6. I have won this challenge a few time so I am ready to go. Let's Ride!!!!

Not sure if we have any newbies but want to clarify roll time. That is 12:01 Central time not eastern time , right?

If rolling on time's an issue, I can do it. 12 am in the US would be 12 pm for me. Not sure if my hand is lucky though ;)

Yup, Vi. I think it is :0)
I can also role if I get up early enough. 12am (Eastern) is 6am my time and 12 am (Pacific) is 9am my time when I'm definitely awake.

*Nan* wrote: "This is my first time being on a team with any of you but I know Ezi from other challenges lately I have been reading mostly M/M but I'm getting back into some MF now."
Nan, after Gang Bang, Bingo, Scanvenger Hunt etc, I had M-m PSTD. So I am reading 70% M-F and 30% M-M now. And I haven't entered a single challenge, not even pick it for me at the m-m group.

I would like Vi and Lauren to roll for us since they are up. That's awesome.
Thanks team, being organized and clear is key to knowing what to do. Of course LUCK in your rolls is the other part of the game.
Checking in during picking your book and review does qualify as minimum two check in. I was thinking more like:
1st check-in: Choosing your book
2nd check-in: update on your progress ie. "I am 43% into my book and I love JR Ward" or "I finished my book but I'm going out. I will post review tomorrow"
However, Checking in and Review posts ARE Sufficient!

I don't find him handsome, at least until Divergent. He has such swagger. That was attractive.
My 2 favorite scenes in Divergent:
1) When they were under the simulation going to Abnegation, and they were on the train. Tris made her way to Four, and he used his pinkie to touch her hand. when they held hands, they both Exhaled with relief. *I am Swooning*
2) At the end, when he was hugging her on the train and she told him about her mom...
I thought to myself that they must be dating in real life but the chemistry was screaming off the the screen.
My mom will watch the kids on Saturday while Hubby and I go on the date to see Insurgent.

*Nan* wrote: "What does Text Item Garage mean ?"
That means somewhere in the book, there is the word "garage" mentioned. So the word is in the text of the book.
If you choose that option, you must provide the sentence where the word is found AND the page number.
Ex. (Page 21: "TY Grady slowly pulled his bike into the garage")

That's why I picked it :0)

Week #1: Spot 8 - Alternate Text Item Garage
Vi wrote: "I don't have any #8 books (yet) so I'm going to go with the same book as Lauren too. It'll fit my RRRC PtP challenge."
Vi, you have to list your own post specifically stating your book and how it relates EVEN if it's the same as someone else's.
I have a #8 book in Riley Jensen, but it's not on my starter plan and doesn't fit into any of my challenges, so I can't use it.
