Honestly, they don't appeal to me either. But the ones I've read have all been Kristen Ashley who doesn't really work for me. So I'm trying to give the biker romance a chance.

V Week #1:Spot 8 - Alternate text Item "Garage"Safe in His Armsby Renae Kaye - 03/20/15 - 4 stars
Bears and Twinks aren't usually my thing and maybe that is why I put off reading this book. I ended up really enjoying this book and finished it in one day. I loved Lon and Casey but it drove me crazy how they never talked to each other about the inportant things in their past that could affect their relationship. Can't believe I put off reading this book until now.
Location 3095 - On the third night, off his pills and with an alcohol level of point two,my brother set fire to our dad's garage Later he told me that he knew that's where they kept the legal papers - in a filing cabinet in the garage

Review: Not bad for a debut author. The heroines is too sweet and cute for my tastes and the writing style is problematic with too much unexplained jargon and weak sentence structure. Nevertheless, the secondary characters are interesting enough to continue the series.
Garage: "He quickly walked Phantom into the cool, dusty interior of the garage" (P. 168)
Ok, this book is not interesting and slightly difficult mainly due to the dialogue. I mean, those cute sentences from a female character is ok but even when the guy in charge, Frank thinks like that?! Just doesn't work out for me. The way he thinks makes me picture my very old uncle (even he doesn't speak like that).
Way to go Nan and Lauren. You guys are on top of your game.
@Nan: I found Safe in his arms slow at times. But it was an okay read.
@Lauren: I didn't enjoy your book and I even tried book 2.

yes, that's the only reason I listened to book 1&2. It was the Kindle deal of the day sale for the series.

Week #1: Spot 8 - Alternate text item "Garage"
Book: I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson (Pg. 15: "I snuck into the garage while everyone was sleeping and keyed his car").
Read: March 23
Rating& Review: ★. I wanted to DNF this book several times. The character Noah and his twin Jude never resonated with me. I found the story boring and at the end all I thought was after 12 hours, this was it?
I thought this story was about a couple of high school boys navigating societies expectations of sexual orientation and their journey to be true to themselves. This book wasn't really that. That was a theme but there was all this stuff going on with the family. There was this competition of people's attention and the use of art to bond. I found that
I just didn't enjoy any aspect of this story.

Review:
This was a hard book to get through. My main issue was the writing style. It's not just the female MC but even the OTT villain spoke in that supposed-to-be-cute-but-really-annoying way. And the sequel bait. The second book's romance is almost halfway in this first book. That was irritating. Combined with the language, it made me picture the secondary male, Frank as an old uncle instead of a fit 39 year old. Ugh.
The suspense was ok. Not that engaging. The main characters were also ok. The female MC, Ali threw up way too much. While it's nice to see a normal person put in such a situation react like this, 3-4 times were just overkill. Overall, an ok read but I probably will not continue the series.

LMAO - I totally forgot about that part of the book
Lauren wrote: "If only ... that would make more sense. But, she just has a weak stomach, lol! "So because she has a weak stomach she's going through her life throwing up all the time?

So because she has a weak stomach she's going through her life throwing up all the time?"
but she wasn't gagging when she was loving her man with her mouth...if I remember correctly.

Week 1 Spot 8 ( Alternatie grage )
( pages 397 ) ( by Jennifer Hillier ) ( r-f-Mar 23-24 ) ( p 135 the two were inside the grage with the door down and locked )Rated:5 stars
Review:
I just love discovering new mystery\thriller authors and Jennifer Hiller is a new one i just found i will be reading more of her books. This is one of the best thrillers that i've read in a while it was bone chilling that i could actualy feel him ( the killer ) slicing into his victumes.
Rosina wrote: "Me too saw it and went gotta find out too....I thought it was Vi throwing up ...is it a character?"LOL! Now I'm embarrassed. I wrote the review and didn't double check. That should teach me..
Ezinwanyi~the Impish Angel wrote: "Are you going to try book 2 before giving up on the series? "Ordinarily I would (or atleast add to my TBR) but I'm having a huge disconnect with the male MC, Frank as the author wants me to picture and the Frank that I have in mind. The disconnect became weirder when I saw the cover. So, no, I want to continue but the second book MCs are not going to cut it. And I can't read series out of order... If the author has another series, I'll probably give that a try.

I have quite a few choices but I am going to really look to see what fits into other challenges I'm doing and see what category is called for bingo before I make a pick

I just wanted to make sure you all were paying attention, LOL! Just kidding. In my defense, 17 and 19 were too close together! Okay, Okay, I messed up!
(*soooo glad someone caught that!)
Thanks Lauren☺

The Year We Fell Down - 270 pgs
# 1 in a Series
Week #2: Spot 17
Book: One Dom to Love (The Doms of Her Life, Book 1) Pages: 237
Read: March 23
Rating& Review: ★★★. I was surprised at how engaging this audiobook was. The narrator did a good job with the voices and I never had difficulty differentiating the main character. The emotions were conveyed well and I couldn’t stop until I finished. Warning: This book ends in a cliffhanger.
The main character Raine Kendall has been in love with Macen Hammerman for over six years. He is the boss and a Dom at BDSM club Shadow. He saved her from being homeless and helped pay her way through university. He has been her protector and her champion, encouraging her to build a life for herself after the abuse she lived through as a child. Macen knows that Raine has a crush on him but Macen is unsure whether Raine’s “crush” is gratitude and hero-worship or if it’s genuine attraction. Either way, Macen is determined that he will not allow anything to develop with Raine as he believes she deserves someone better than him.

Week 2 - Spot #17 -The Year We Fell Down
#1 in a Series
03/29/15 - 3.5 stars
This was a sweet story that was a really quick read. I used to read books like this all the time but I wish it had more depth to the story. I really liked both MCs but I wish I felt more connection to them. I will still read the other books in the series because I there are times whuen I just need a quick read.
