Ellis is caught in the modern day world in a downward spiral. His marriage is loveless, probably due to his son's suicide some years back. He has no friends but a high school friend that he still meets at a bar. A pivotal discovery propels him to do the unthinkable, to see if the time machine he built will really work, and escape into the future. Two thousand years into the future Ellis meets Pax, one of the genetically identical humans that now inhabit the world. Due to all the things that have happened over the years the inhabitants all live underground, hence the name Hollow World.
How will Ellis reconcile his life to this new reality? The author uses well developed characters, and is a great storyteller, bringing in parallels to modern day problems and philosophies. I really liked this book! I can't wait to see what else this author brings.
As soon as I finished reading this I recommended it to my daughter...I didn't want it to end. =)

I loved this book! It is well written and combines two of my favorite genres: fantasy and historical fiction. I will be looking for more books by Paula Brackston.

Hendrix by Chelsea Camaron

At my door, I notice an envelope taped to the door. Tearing it off, I then pick up the newspaper on my doorstep before entering my apartment. PG 47

Great start to a very sexy series with interesting characters that keep you flipping the pages for more. Hendrix and Liv where great together and their chemistry was burning. But I think what sold the story for me was the strong family connection between Hendrix and his brothers. I can't wait to read their stories.

“You’d better be good, is all I can say, you neurotic mess.” Elijah rested his cheek against Baz’s chest and shut his eyes when Baz enveloped him in a swaying embrace. “And if you say it takes one to know one, I’ll bite you.”
“Promises, promises.” 62,7 / 631
what a great book, I loved the writing soooo much, the dialogues were so real. I stopped my rating at 4 stars right now, cause I want to think better about the story. I had some problems dealing with the light use of drugs, alcohol and pills. it's a dark point to me. so full review coming as soon as my heart will catch up with my mind LOL

Dark Instincts (The Phoenix Pack #4) by Suzanne Wright

Rating: 4 Stars
Suzanne never fails to entertain me with her hilarious characters and their crazy antics. She is also very good at writing scorching hot smexy scenes. Put both of these together and you have a great stories with characters that you can relate to. I can never get enough of her books and I am always sad when they are over and I don't have anymore to read :( I can't wait for the next one.

This has been a great series, it keeps my interest and I really love the characters. Nate is absolutely so sweet and strong...I really loved his character. Solving the case also kept my interest and pulled me in different directions with how much I loved/hated the suspects. Hope there is more to this series!

Read 4/29/15When the Chief of Psychiatry at a leading hospital in Philadelphia takes on a young patient, things start to go awry. Already involved in a painful divorce, Eric finds his life in a downward spiral. When Max, his patient goes through the traumatic death of his grandmother, will Eric be able to help him, or is Max part of the problems that pile up against him.
This is a disturbing book due to the lengths the author goes to to acquaint the reader of mental illness, and the path of destruction that it can bring, I do highly recommend it for the authors skillful and thorough coverage of the matter is a heart-pounding thriller. Good character development, and lots of twists and turns, a great page-turner.

The Enchanter Heir is a well written, young adult fantasy novel. It has bit of everything; tragedy, conspiracy, guitar building teen that was hidden from the world of sorcerers and wizards by the grandfather that raised her and a boy that was damaged during the massacre now an assassin of the undead. I love this genre and Cinda Williams Chima. I have enjoyed the previous books in this series as well as her Seven Realms series.

It was kind of like Twilight but way better in my opinion. The romance between Bryn and William was good, but not great. The story itself is wgat i liked the most.

This was better than the first book. Trevor is an over the top growls alpha male, but it works for him :) I felt I needed more closure regarding Liz's brother though.
I am completely intrigued for book 3 with the nuggets of information left in this book.

So... this second book was not funny and sweet as the first one and it disappointed me a little. I loved An Intrepid Trip to Love and I was so hoping in something amazing like that one. I think the parts I really enjoyed in Healing Hunter's Heart were the ones with Trip and Robbie in them.

I love this series! This is the second book of the Temeraire series, an alternate history book set in Great Britain in the early 1800's. Temeraire is a Celestial dragon, and his partner is Capt. Laurence of the Aerial Force of Great Britain. In this book they are off to China, summoned by the Emperor as Celestial dragons should only belong to the Chinese. On their voyage they have many adventures, and a good mystery arises as to what the fate of this paired duo will be.
The author is skilled in bringing one into that not so long ago era, and you come to really care about the characters, human and dragons. I am definitely going to keep reading the series.

This book was incredible. I found myself immersed in the story since the first page. Miles really had me emotional for the whole book. I would recommend this to everyone.

Deborah Harkness is one of my all time favorite authors. I love this book and the whole series. If take vampires, witches and daemons, mix in a some history, alchemy and time walking, you have the perfect series for me. This was a reread for me and now I am itching to get to the rest of the series.
