I really enjoyed this book an I've never tried this author before. The flow of the book was good and I can't say there was much I didn't like except that I feel like there could've been more to it. I liked this characters and the fact that the chapters were related to the 12 steps of addiction recovery

Pat Week One - Weapon on Cover Seeking Solace Book I Solace (Solace Trilogy) by Anna Steffl **** Finished 03/24/15

Seeking Solace is the first book in the Solace seies. The author weaves the tale of two kingdoms together into a fantastic believable world, brimming with royalty, religions, and madness. There are more than one protagonist, so the author puts you in many characters shoes and although there is a true sense of good and evil, one doesn't have to look too far to see that this author is skilled in showing us that all is not what it seems.

Lovers of epics such as the Game of Thrones will love this book, full of political intrigue and magical beings. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the genre and look forward to the second book.

Stella ╰☆╮╰☆╮ (stellamatta) I'm starting my book right now, I'm a little late but I ca do it. How are you going ???

message 57: by Snowtulip (new)

Snowtulip Pat, that sounds like my kind of story :)

I'm working my way through mine, since I hadn't read the previous book since a long time ago, it's taken awhile to remember the storyline.

Oh yes, the book is great and unlike the Game of Thrones was less than 300 pages, so was able to do without panicking! Sometimes the time just gets away from me! Hope your new book is something that you will enjoy. :)

Stella ╰☆╮╰☆╮ (stellamatta) WEEK 1
SPOT 6

Guarding Morgan (Sanctuary, #1) by R.J. Scott cover item: weapon 2,5 starts

I don't have a lot to say about this book: I liked the author and reading the blurb Guarding Morgan sounded like something I'd like. the premise was really good but it wasn't delivered. too simplistic to me.

Jamie ~ Bad Boy Inspector (jamie_badboyinspector) | 35 comments Week 1 - 6th in a series - 3 1/2 Stars

Braydon (Alluring Indulgence, #6) by Nicole Edwards (Alluring Indulgence #6) by Nicole Edwards

This was not my favorite book of Nicole's just because the heroine annoyed me so much. This is saying alot because I LOVE Nicole's books. This women knows how to write sexy, heartwarming, emotional, lol books that make you long for the next one to be released. While this book had all of that in spades I just couldn't get past the fact that I just don't like Jessie and thought Braydon could have done alot better. With that being said I still will be diving into the next one because this women can write an erotic romance book.

These stories are always over the top and Nik and Ben are so dysfunctionally functional :D But I love them, they are always entertaining and so emotional. I font even know how they get in these situations !

message 86: by Pat (new)

Pat Most people have already read this series.... Mockingjay (The Hunger Games, #3) by Suzanne Collins **** 3/29/15The third book in the Hunger Games series was a thrill ride from start to finish. Katniss is now in the midst of the revolution, and Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. District 12 has been reduced to rubble, and Katniss wonders once again how she fits in the madness of the times. Well written, great plots and sub-plots, I found this book the best of the series. The author's style is shorter, more precise sentences and it took me a little to adjust each time I picked up one of the three books in the series, but once I did, I found myself lost in the drama of the book, just where I like to be.

I would definitely recommend this series. There are many moral dilemmas, choices that have to be made in the worst circumstances, this tale in a dystopian world brings many modern day parallels to mind. A definite thumbs up.

I found I couldn't put the book down! Love that when it happens.

Snowtulip Pat, have you seen the movies?

Stella ╰☆╮╰☆╮ (stellamatta) ehy everyone! how is your reading going? I finished my book, I'll post the review ASAP :D

message 89: by Pat (new)

Pat Snowtulip wrote: "Pat, have you seen the movies?"
I have seen the first two, but not the third. The movies did a pretty good job in capturing the books, but I always find that the author has so much more to say, and sometimes it is totally different than what the move producers show. I do plan to see Mockingjay when it comes out on TV. I was surprised that I liked the book so much. To tell you the truth, I thought the writer's style a little simplistic, but then again, my middle-school aged grandson could read them, so that is a big advantage. Did you see the movies and/or read the books?

message 90: by Snowtulip (new)

Snowtulip I loved the Hunger Game books and movies :) I can't wait for the last movie, but completely agree the books are always better.

That's one of the great things about mid-grade and YA books recently, you can share the love of the same books with the whole family :D

Snowtulip Midnight, 3 stars

This is my least favorite in this series so far. I just had a hard time really connecting with the characters (they were a bit too mushy and immature). I still really like this world, but this wasn't a gem of the series.

I love this series. I just can't get enough of Ryder, Syn and all those sexy a$$ men of his. This series just keeps getting better and better. It is full of action, romance, angst and everything in-between. Amelia is one of the best storytellers and worldbuilders in the business. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.
