Hi Vanessa and welcome to the group.
Hi to all,I'm in my last year of Modern European History and plan on using my degree (I stormed year 1 and 2 so, I am confident of getting out with the bit of paper necessary) to it's fullest. I'll be working at a garden centre, at a small-holding growing organic fruit and veg, and be managing a veterans centre (cook, clean, organising care for those who need it, scheduling events, and most importantly - and why I'm loved down there - providing the cider I make), basically doing all I can to look after the mob. And, they are a mob and, I love them all to bits.

I retired from U.S. federal service a few years ago and am the author of "Besieged Beachhead: The Cold War Battle for Cuba at the Bay of Pigs (Stackpole Books, 2024). My main area of interest, obviously, is Cold War military history, especially within the context of Cuba and the rest of Latin America.

Hi. I'm Bob Caslen, retired Army LTG, served 43 years. I just had my new book published - "The Impossible Mission". It is about the drawdown of US Forces, the resurrection of ISIS and its caliphate, and the reintroduction of US forces. I was the senior commander on the ground for most of that and want to capture the strategic lessons learned of war termination and war transition from one US Gov't department to another.
