I just borrowed this book from the library. It is my first time reading this author's novel. So far I am enjoying it immensely.
I've already read this book but I hope everybody enjoys those unique story!

I started reading this morning and am 7 chapters into it. The hero is a total @ss. I don't like him at all!
Annalia is a total spitfire and I really like the way she gives these burly highlanders what for. There are assassins out now and the excitement level has gone up. Am enjoying the read.
Oh no! I don't usual enjoy books with heroes who are total @sses....
That's good. Hope he fully redeems himself. It can be a great story if done well.
The ending of the book was excellent. The last 7 or 8 chapters were really good.

Would you recommend this to others? I do love a =kidnapping story - but the synopsis does not grab me.
I'm up to chapter 6. No kidnapping yet, but I'm not sure if I will make it to the end. I'm too angry! This is my first book by the author. The writing is fine, but I don't like the story. The hero is too much of a jerk, and the heroine is stupid. I'm all for helping someone on the verge of death and nursing him back to life, but I wish she had just left this one to die. He is ungrateful and seems black to his very soul. I can't imagine there is a way to redeem him.
I read this book already about 2 months ago. I struggled with the characters until the end. They do redeem. But yeah, this is nowhere near my fav historical! Good writing though.
@Susan, It isn't the best HR you are going to read but it does fall in the thumbs up range. The second half of the book is better than the first.
I'm managed to make it halfway through, but I definitely won't finish today.
