Just started. I suppose the dedication to Victoria Wood was something of a heads-up for what was to follow.

Finished. I’ll give it 3 1/2 stars for being weird, nasty, compulsive and so far off the wall I still can’t believe what I just read…
Thank you for the review.Stuart McBride is one of my favourite authors so will definitely be reading this book but now I have been warned
I agrée with Christine that it is a typical mcbride — lots more gore described than I like This one isn’t grabbing me.
Notice he makes a reference to another book of his that we read (birthdays of the dead??). I forgot to bookmark
