July Subdue the Shelf Roll Requests
I actually read it (both) Dead Tree Style! It’s going back to the library! My husband is switching between 70’s tunes and CNN.
My last two rolls were 4,3:"Any combination totaling 7: You move 7 spaces and stay on that space, but you may read the book you land on OR one book forward or one book back - - your choice."
I am planning to read one book forward - just FYI in case it matters. I will note it on my Board.
I just passed the half way mark in my current Subdue book via audio, so:requesting my next roll (2 dice)
Is this still true for the Porter level? I also have a five and two, which would allow me the same privilege without having to use a swap. But I think I also get that privilege naturally, because I have read already the book that I have landed on so I have to go back one anyway. Maybe the question is redundant. Just to mention, I also had a two and a five.

But I think I also get that privilege naturally, because I..."Yes, you still get all the special advantages --- any combo that equals 7 let's you read the book on either side of the one you landed on instead if you want without moving. That was the first dice roll advantage I earned in Clerk -- and remember it fondly though it was so early in the game I elected to read the book I landed on.
I have had such a difficult and disappointing reading time this year! I opened up Legends and Lattes last night and it just wasn’t for me. And I was really excited for that one, and I couldn’t get past the first pages! Then I moved onto my Subdue Book, the Spy’s Gamble. It’s my number 22. My 23 was an already read. Between the seven and the already read rule, I was good to go. I got through 15% of that one before I realized I couldn’t tolerate that one either. That was an $11 waste. At least now I am happily 20% through the Senator’s Wife.Anita and Joanne, I will therefore be using my 1st of three swaps for the Porter Loop. I earned one through a dice roll. I am swapping #3 the Mermaid’s Sister for the Woman in the Library, which is somewhere on my Porter board three times.
Wish Me Luck! Meanwhile, the Senator’s Wife seems engaging. I need my HayJay Good Luck Charm!!!

I am ready for another roll. So excited to start my new books! Anita randomized them, and when I looked through them, I thought, “oh, an interesting book, oh, another one, etc” Well, duh, I was the one who submitted them. Reminds me of when I got my first iPod and I kept being surprised that I liked all the songs (which I had of course chosen myself).
I am jealous of people like Amy who can read in a car. More than a couple minutes reading will make me carsick. I was able to listen to an audiobook for a little while when we were driving the other day.

I do love that I can read in a car.
Or, now, it's more likely on a bus. (Well, now that I might do a bit of travelling again, at least to/from Sask to visit my family.)

I am on a trip and the book I landed on is a physical one not with me, so I swapped for an ebook of more pages. I noted this on my board.

Okay .. I have finished (and posted the review ) of my last book in the First Class Cafe and am finally moving to the Private Parlor Car! (Still on Clerk level, though ...)

NO ... you already rolled for me when I was at the halfway point on spot#76. That's the book (# 76) that I just finished and posted my review of. I haven't even gotten the next one from the library yet.
