Dai Marshall-Green | 2 comments Hi,

A general question as a new author and new to goodreads.

I placed my first blog on my author page today Dai Marshall-Green regarding my recently published book A Milkman, a Vicar, and a cat with attitudeand the dilemmas I'm having being new to the whole marketing side of writing - well the whole writing and publishing industry to be honest.

Anyway, the question is - who see's the blog? Is is someone who stumbles over my page or book (in which case it is unlikely to be seen when nobody knows my book or I exist) or does it appear elsewhere on the goodreads site as a general public post?

This is a curiosity question as I am unable to find the answer. And apologies if it's in the wrong place.

Emily | 17492 comments There is not a main page for people's blog/status posts as far as I know. You might be able to set it up as an rss feed but I'm not sure. Some people host a blog on a website of their own and then import it to Goodreads (as an rss feed, which is a feature in the blog area here). That way they can send it out via social media and wherever else.

If you have any other site functionality questions, please post in Goodreads Help or Contact Support:

The librarians edit the book database, and we don't really have much insight into how other aspects of the site work.

Thank you Emily. I hadn't come across the link you attached. Very helpful and I appreciate it.
