I liked it. It was a Scottish Hatefields and McCoys. There are some feuds that go on long after people forgot the reason in the first place. I liked the Professor trying to draw Jordan into the feud.
I liked the history; with the professor -- as he showed up later, I did wonder if the history was a product of his scheming imagination.
I am a fan of Julie Garwood's Historical Romances and I love the inclusion of the history of the MacKenna and Buchanan families.
In one of her historicals there is a lost treasure, but I don't remember which one because I read them BG, before Goodreads.
