Out of the four, I'd go with either Gerald's Game or Doctor Sleep. If you are going to jump into DS, I would recommend reading The Shining first if you haven't already.
Desperation is at the bottom of my list of King books, though, I guess, If you've never read King and don't know how good he can be, it might be okay. This is a really unusual list... can't imagine why you wouldn't start with The Shining or IT... or Needful Things.
I liked Insomnia more than I thought I would. I think I ended up giving it like 4.5 stars. I’m one of the weird SK fans that liked Desperation. I read it when I was a sophomore in college so it’s been a while, but I remember liking it. A lot of other readers do not🤷🏼♀️
