I've forgotten a book, help please

My teacher read a book to my class a few years ago and I would like to read it again but I have forgotten the title and author :( These two sisters (the older one is a doctor) are on a trip home when they get there everyone is gone, they call the police who send out a few police officers and a detective (whose name is Tal) to investigate while searching the town weird and unusual things start happening. there's also a scene where they go to the bakery and end up finding the baker's head in the oven. i hope this is enough for someone to help me find this book because that's basically all i remember
