I think it was a shorter book, like a kids book. With pictures and like a few sentences below them.For some reason this book popped into my mind.

I'm looking for the name of a book I had when I was a kid. The book had pictures.
It was about some kind of eskimoes, living in igloos.
A little boy or girl goes blind after a strap on a tanning rack, or something like that, snaps. And an older person fixes it by putting bird shit in the kids eyes.
Hope anyone can help. It was probably 20-25 years ago so I could remember it wrong, but I am pretty sure about those details.
