Personality: Illyana is on the quiet side although that doesn't mean she's cold, in fact she is a kindhearted person always willing to help someone in need. She has a defiant streak but it rarely shows itself thanks to her family although it's been coming out more recently. She's witty and clever and sees the logical side of things, usually putting feelings aside to do so without even realizing she's done it (another reason people see her as cold).

History: Lya grew up with her parents until her father died a few years ago when Illyana was in her second year. She is the first non-Slytherin of the DeLille line, taking after her Ravenclaw father. But what her mother's pure-blood side of the family find more undesirable is the fact that she's a half-blood although they used to ignore it until her sorting. Ever since then she's done her best to avoid that part of the family preferring her father's muggle side but it's hard to avoid them when she lives in the DeLille manor. She is however close with her aunt who works as the Astronomy teacher at Hogwarts.

History: Karina was usually the odd one out during her school years and tended to stick to herself and a few close friends. After she graduated with top marks she went on to become a Curse Breaker for the Ministry for a few years until she was later offered the job as the Astronomy professor at Hogwarts which she eagerly took since it was always one of her favorite classes as a student. Her family did not like her quitting her Ministry job to teach but she has now been at Hogwarts for five years and travels as a free-lance curse breaker during the summer holiday, sometimes taking her niece with her.

- a thorned, flowering plant, blackthorn is a very unusual wandwood and produce wands best suited for warriors, they are particularly powerful in the dark arts although that does not necessarily mean the wielder practices them
- phoenix feather cores are said to be capable of the greatest magic and are very picky when choosing their owners, they often take time to "warm up" to their wielder but once their loyalty is won it is incredibly hard to lose and its power will only strengthen with time
Patronus: bat (formerly a deerhound)
- a bat is an unusual patronus, it is representative of rebirth, honesty, and empathy; though a bat commonly represents fear, the casters of this patronus understand that facing your fears is what helps you grow as a person
- having a deerhound patronus means you are unbelievably determined and work hard to achieve your ambitions, deerhounds are loyal and want to help those they love which are usually traits shared by their casters

Personality: Lilith is well known since she's the Slytherin seeker and Slytherin Head of the Dueling Club but she’s also made a name for herself as a duelist outside school as she's been to a few tournaments. She's also rather well known for her all-around excellent grades which can be credited the two Slytherin traits of cleverness and ambition. While she is respectful thanks to her rather wealthy up bringing in a family of status, Lily can also be sarcastic at times so she's either a professor's favorite or least favorite student with little in between. She’s quick thinking and cool under pleasure, both help her in class and on the quidditch pitch as well as in duels. While like her sister in a lot of ways they somehow have managed to follow complete opposite paths.

History: Born in the Araceli Manor on the Scotland coast to a well-known pureblood family, Lilith had what you would call a cushy childhood. She was loved by her parents and later her younger sister, they were wealthy and had influence in the Ministry and dependable family in other countries as well as stable jobs for her parents and the family business of potions and magical remedies. But she never fit in. Lilith loved her family of course and tried her best to live up to what they wanted for her but it always ended up with her having to put her own beliefs aside. When Lilith was twelve and her sister nine, their mother fell sick and was taken to St. Mungos, their father retired from his career as a professional quidditch player and took a Ministry job in the Department of Magical Games and Sports- which he kept even after Lilith's mother was allowed to come home slightly better but with no cure.
Unlike most other pure-blood families, the Araceli's weren't confined to one house in Hogwarts and instead had a scattered mix of all four, so the sorting of new children within the family was more of a spectical for betting and guessing who would get the child rather than a way to see if you truly belong in the family like some others view it. That being said it didn't come as much of a shock when Lilith was sorted into Slytherin and her sister into Hufflepuff despite her parents being a Gryffindor and a Ravenclaw. When she began her schooling at Hogwarts she was surprised to find that her best classes were charms and transfiguration as well as defense against the dark arts which apart from her father's talent in transfiguration were relatively unheard of in her family who tended to lean more towards herbology and potions rather than wandwork. But what was even more surprising and frighting was when Lilith found out she had a natural gift for the dark arts which until her 5th year she avoided out of fear only caving and taking lessons in her 6th after several promptings from one of her favorite professors and a near accident. She was picked up by the quidditch team as seeker in her second year thanks to being given the opportunity because of her family being known for their skills and joined the Dueling Club that year as well, she later became the Slytherin Head of the Dueling Club in her fifth year.

Future: After graduating Hogwarts as one of the top students she turns down all offers to play for professional quidditch teams and instead becomes an Unspeakable for the Department of Mysteries in the British Ministry of Magic. Not long after she secretly joins Grindelwald's cause and began rising in his ranks. After being revealed as one of his followers in 1927, Lilith then became a true follower and traveled as part of his inner core.

Getting that ticket was perhaps the best thing that could have ever happened to her.

But once Natalya was accepted into Hogwarts and sorted into Slytherin she regained a bit of the honor her and her Ravenclaw sister had apparently lost and now after showing promise she's wholeheartedly accepted by the DeLille's.

lance has always been held to an incredibly high standard by his family and most of his friends. despite being from america, his family is very influential family. exceptionally within the ministry. and his parents are pretty powerful when it comes to politics.
he's fiercely loyal to their family and friends; and loyal to his house as most slytherins are. everyone else comes both he does in his mind. it's not him being insecure, it's his way of making sure everyone is taken good care of.
he's very quick on his feet and he takes in all of his surroundings. he looks for details other people often miss and he's amazing at reading people.
morally grey, he doesn't believe in 'light magic' or 'dark' magic. it's the one who handles the magic who should be consider light or dark. but even then, someone isn't bad or good, only their decisions. and though his parents (and most of his family) supports salzar slytherin's ideology about muggleborns and pureblood superiority, he doesn't really care about blood status and he thinks it's more about the actual person than their blood.
lance is a reliable person and a strong leader. he leads with others in mind and he doesn't take over unless needed. he's sneaky and really good at lying and making up excuses that are believable. he is also very patient and willing to help people advance in life.
he can have has some serious golden retriever energy going on sometimes; he gets overly excited over little things and he can also be somewhat clingy and affectionate. though usually only around people he seriously trusts.

wand + magical information.
lance's wand is made from willow wood; willow wood is an uncommon wand wood with healing powers, and the welder usually has some kind of insecurity (that they usually hide), willow wood wands also are very advanced and powerful when it comes to non-verbal magic. the core of his wand is a phoenix feather; phoenix feathers are capable of the greatest range of magic though they could be harder to wield, their allegiance is usually won and they can sometimes act on their own but lance doesn't really mind. his wand is 11 inches and it appears to be a light brown wand with a single soft green vine trailing along it.
lance's favorite class is definitely potions or charms. his favorite spell is homonculus charm which can detect anyone's true identity and location on a piece of parchment; used to create the marauder's map. he has a pet owl named bliss.

backstory.
lance was born in france while his parents where on a very important wizarding trip and then returned to america almost as soon as he was born. his parents definitely put on a good show for their fancy friends and for the world; they acted like they cared about him and they acted like they actually took care of him. but in reality, they didn't even really speak to lance.
since he was old enough to fend for himself, basically the age where he could walk, lance has been taking care of himself with the help of his family house elves. his parents never abused him but they would neglect him.
just before he got his hogwarts letter, lance moved away from his toxic family moved in with his aunt and cousin. his aunt was a famous inventor and his cousin would turn out to be the first witch or wizard to cross the atlantic ocean by broom.
when lance finally got his hogwarts letter, he couldn't have been happier. he loved magic and it was his life, almost literally.
his first year went by smoothly and at the start of his second year, he became one of the slytherin's chaser for their house quidditch team. and he immediately had a fan base and became pretty popular throughout the school.
people, despite him being in slytherin, generally liked him because he had traits from all the houses and people never though he was evil or 'dark'.
everything was great, while that is until his parents found him.

- pine wands always choose an independent, individual master who may be perceived as a loner, intriguing and perhaps mysterious, they enjoy being used creatively, and unlike some others, will adapt unprotestingly to new methods and spells and is one of those that is most sensitive to non-verbal magic
- wands with dragon heartstring tend to learn quicker than other wands, and while it is one of the powerful cores it does happen to be easier to turn to the dark arts than the others but it will not do so of its own accord and tends be a bit temperamental though loyal to its wielder

- those who cast this patronus are often quirky and loved by many, calico cats are very unique and sweet-natured, and make friends quickly but are also independent; like most cats, calicos are observant and intelligent

Personality: Verity is very curious and not afraid to ask questions, which when she asks or answers them are usually very well thought out and logical. Part of this is due to the fact that she's incredibly observant although her memory doesn't always collect the things she wants which results in a lot of synonyms being used. Verity likes to experiment and try new things and spells, particularly charms and potions but she's been advised to avoid transfiguration experimentation since so many things can go so terribly wrong (she still does them though). She's rather friendly and will genuinely try to be kind to anyone and give them the benefit of the doubt but she won't pretend to like you if she doesn't although that doesn't mean she'll be rude, she just believes in honesty and truth. She's always open to a friendly debate and truly likes to hear all sides of a matter even if she knows which ones she's on, but she tries to avoid conflict through arguments although when is drawn into one she usually wins.
Beliefs: She has very loose beliefs and morals and believes that what a person perceives is never set because you're always learning and experiences new things and each changes how you view the world and everything in it.

History: Born in Ireland, Verity grew up neglected by her parents, too focused on their own work and success to pay any attention to their daughter, so she learned how to fend for herself at a young age which she did for several years. But when word of her situation slipped to a few people within the family, her supposedly odd great uncle who was shunned for marrying a muggle-born woman, came and took her in for a few months. Unfortunately, when her parents returned from their work trip and realized that their daughter was gone it didn't take much asking to find out where she was and they promptly took her back for a reason Verity still can't guess. She now knows her uncle was "politely threatened" about taking her again, but he came back for her anyway when they left again. Since then, Verity basically lives with him in Dublin whenever she can and grew to love him like the father she didn't have. He later also took in his grandson Roran, Verity's cousin, after his parents died in an accident and the two became like siblings.
Although she always came back to her parents' house before they got home. Verity thinks they must know she leaves to go live with her great uncle when they’re gone but they must not care as long as she’s subtle about it. And she is, most people must believe her parents send her there so she’s looked after and treat her like any other neighborhood kid, as if she belongs there and didn’t run away- which adds to her parents apparently caring reputation so they never bring it up.
Her times living with her uncle Senan were the best she’s ever had and finally made her feel like she had a home and a family. Her uncle is an alchemist by trade who apprenticed with Nicolas Flamel among other experienced alchemists when he was young and traveled but loves all sorts of topics and was always up for letting Verity or Roran pick his next experiment and do it with him, sometimes they would make games out of it and see who could find the solution to a problem first.
Verity was almost reluctant to go to school since she was already being taught most things by her uncle and even tried to convince him to homeschool her but in the end she knew her parents wouldn’t allow it and might somehow keep her from seeing him she pushed them too far and Roran talked her into going with him. So, she was sorted into Ravenclaw and her cousin into Hufflepuff and after her first year she grew to like Hogwarts even if she would have preferred homeschool.

Future: Verity becomes one of the few students to qualify for alchemy classes in sixth and seventh year and one of the rare few who pass their NEWTs with anything above an Acceptable. She goes on to follow in her Uncle Senan's footsteps and apprentice with several experienced alchemist around the world for a few years before returning to Ireland and becoming a prominent alchemist and inventor.

personality.
quinn can be decided as a gryffindor through and through. minus a couple traits here and there. he's righteous in his own way; meaning he believes in what he thinks is right and he doesn't usually listen to outside information or logic.
he's short-temped and reckless, he's got a short fuse and when he gets mad, his magic flares out and his attitude is definitely gross. quinn is also daring. he's always testing the waters and doing things that take a little more courage. but he doesn't seem to understand when he's stepping over the line.
on the bright side, quinn is nice. but on the slightly darker side, he's only really nice when you are of value to him or he can gain something. the only people that he's really nice to without conditions are his parents and lilith.
he's a real suck up to adults and teachers. and he makes sure to always turn in his work on time and he always makes sure to use the right amount of charm and kindest with the professors as well.
and lastly. quinn is really prideful and sometimes his pride matters more than anything else. but he also has a pretty big hero complex. he always needs to be the hero. but what he doesn't seem to realize yet, is that he's actually insecure and that he's actually the villain and not the hero.

backstory.
quinn has always had what he wanted. he was the favorite only child due to a freak accident with his twin sister when they were born.
days after he and his sister were born, the hospital that they were born in got attacked. it was unclear whether or not the attack was coordinated but either way koa ended up dying.
and since then, everything has been handed to him on a golden platter and when he got his hogwarts letter and got sorted into gryffindor, it wasn't any different. his parents showered him in presents and gifts when they went to diagon alley to get his supplies for school. he was thrown into a never ending spotlight where he was always the star of the show.
but that all changed when he actually got too hogwarts. when he got to the magic school, he wasn't the best anymore. he wasn't the smartest or even the richest. he wasn't the strongest or even the coolest. he was just quinn. nothing special.
his parents didn't seem to care because he was the most prefect little angel at home, to his parents, quinn was everything.
after he got rejected from the gryffindor quidditch team, he became bitter. he would put on a nice act around the teachers and other adults, but the students knew he was bad news. every year he tried out for the quidditch team and every year he didn't make it. he was jealous and heartbroken.
that is, until he got with lilith. she was a new light in his life and he generally did like her. but when he realized lilith's best friend was one of the best chaser's in the school; he decided to stick around to make lance look bad.

History: Second born of the eldest daughter of the DeLille family, Tatiana DeLille, and her husband Merom Castor, Vera was raised to be (in her mother and grandmother's view) the perfect version of a pure-blood witch. She was never particularly close with older brother Roman but they were very competitive growing up although their three year age gap meant that the odds were not in her favor most of the time, but she made up for it with her determination and fiery personality. As a child she was very spirited and rather wild, always getting in fights or shouting matches with someone which was of course frowned upon, but as she got older Vera learned to channel that into her cunning and became the perfect granddaughter for Roksana while still causing just as much trouble behind her back. However, she calmed a lot after her brother began his schooling at Hogwarts when she was eight which just happened to be the same year her DeLille-Levant cousins moved into the family manor. Before his passing Vera was her grandfather's favorite as she was the only grandchild who seemed to have his passion and fire, the very things her grandmother didn't like so much, which meant that her decision to hide them after his death resulted in her becoming grandmother's little golden child with her older brother gone and her cousins still seen a bit skeptically. It greatly helped Vera to have Illyana around and it was her who originally taught her to focus more on her cunning and began her decent into the sly and charming girl she is now. After that she was able to get almost anything she wanted but she never did and preferred to be left well alone and eventually she was, particularly after she began her time at Hogwarts and didn't seem to want to follow any specific career path, also picking up the habit of toying with any suitors her parents set her up with over the years.
The family was a bit worried about her sorting after she showed quite a few Gryffindor traits when she was young and still does, but blood was apparently stronger and the Sorting Hat placed her in Slytherin though it did highly consider Gryffindor as well as Hufflepuff for her. From then on it was clear that while she was average or above in most classes, she really didn't have any interest in them and could usually be found in the back drawing in her schoolbooks. But Vera always made sure to get good enough grades so as not to earn a meeting with any professors, though she admits to not really trying. She almost doesn't fit in in Slytherin house with zero interest in quidditch, dueling or really any competitions or sports; she doesn't have any future ambitions and seems rather careless most of the time. She rarely plays pranks anymore but every once in a while at home (or sometimes at school if someone deserves it) things seem to go unnaturally bad for someone one day although it can never be traced back to her. One of the only classes she does take an interest in that could lead to a prominent career is xylomancy, she originally signed up for it as one of her electives in third year out just because it was one with the least people but ended up actually liking the wand theory and artistic side of things.

History: Born with the name Alessandra Maria Sole, she was born into a religious family but wasn't so lucky that her's was a good one. Her parents were always more worried about what other people thought rather than what God did and it showed in their household, though it was always seemingly nonexistent elsewhere. This was a fine childhood for Alessandra as long as she behaved, that was until her magic started showing. At first they thought it was just strange coincidences but by the time Alessandra was six it became obvious that the magic was coming from her. Little Alessandra was of course too young to understand but her parents apparently thought she wasn't too young to try to banish whatever evil their daughter had through "discipline". Long story short that backfired with the houseplants trying to attack them and the Sole's ended up obliviated and childless (forever as far as they know). Seven years old at the time Alessandra was taken in by the Ministry worker who had rescued her (and her parents), Riley Quinton, who got legal custody of her soon after the incident. Her life from then on was better than the young girl could have imagined, she was accepted and surrounded by people like her who loved her. Soon enough the Quinton's were the only family she cared to call as such and her birthparents were banished from her mind as best they could be after the trauma she went through; she never speaks of them if she can help it and never intends to. Despite what happened with her parents, Alessandra remained religious although she fell out of faith for several years before finding it again in her first year of school.
Her acceptance into Hogwarts was a time of celebration for the family, as was her sorting into Hufflepuff which was her grandmother's (Marilynn's) house during her time at Hogwarts. Even after four years of living and interacting with witches and wizards as well as visiting Diagon Alley on a regular and helping her Gramma Mari run the apothecary Alessandra was still not prepared for what life at Hogwarts would be like. She quickly adapted to life there though and leaned at the rapid pace that eager youth manages to. However it wasn't long before her "rebellious" tendencies showed themselves and she found herself in detention regularly- the main reason being she was acting like, well an activist. This was caused by Alessandra witnessing one too many muggle-borns or half-bloods being bullied for their blood not being "pure" and the Headmaster not doing anything to stop it but rather encouraging and agreeing with it. Intelligent and clever, Riley has always had a logical way of thinking that clashes with his kind and caring personality at times. He's always struggled with the balance between letting his head or heart do the thinking, but he's learned to decide which is right on the run depending on the situation. He's observant and good at reading people, able to tell if someone is lying or not. Riley may seem stern and harsh at first just because of his appearance but reality he's kind and caring, plus good humored, he tries to make his classes interesting and fun when he can. Rather soft spoken, he doesn't like to raise his voice or shout, at least not at his students or the new recruits at his former job, however he can and will speak his mind rather bluntly to make a point but you never want to push him to the point where he raises his voice.

History:
Riley had a better than decent childhood for a half-blood. His magical mother married a muggle man and was accepted by him when she confessed to being a witch just before they were married and he later was happy when their son showed signs of being magic like his mother, he was also rather fascinated by anything in their world he came across. The Quinton's were well enough off with Riley's mother owning an apothecary hidden in London and his father working as an engineer and locksmith. From a young age Riley loved to tag along with his father or help his mother around the shop.
Sorted into Ravenclaw after being accepted at Hogwarts he lived up to his house's traits and turned out to be a well-rounded student with obvious existing knowledge and promise in herbology and potions as well as an interest in charms although he liked the more hands-on classes. His social life at school was decent and his friendly demeanor earned him plenty of friends while the sarcastic "know-it-all" attitude he sometimes had gained him enemies.
His life outside Hogwarts began in London where it started and Riley got a Ministry job in the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes as part of the Reversal Squad. Then of course still helped his mother around the shop whenever she wanted or needed it. His Ministry job however is how he found his adopted daughter since it was when a muggle families magical neighbor called in that he was sent to investigate. What he found was not at all what he was expecting with the muggle parents seeming to have mistreated their young daughter who retaliated (accidentally) but turning the houseplants savage so that they attacked her parents. In the end he obliviated the muggles and took the problem (and the girl) to the Wizengamot, coming out with custody of seven-year-old Alessandra Sole. Whether he meant for it to happen like that or not, it was still probably the best thing he'd done with his life and Alessandra fit right in with the Quinton's.
It was Alessandra that convinced him to apply for the position of Herbology professor at Hogwarts when she was about to enter her second year, claiming that he'd had the same job for twenty years and it was about time he did something else. He eventually relented assuming he wouldn't get the job anyway, which of course didn't happen because Riley has now been a Hogwarts professor for five years and quickly realized he loved teaching.

rudimentary: Charming and good humored, Roran likes to joke around and make people laugh. He can come off as flirtatious but in reality that's just how he is and when it actually comes to flirting with someone he likes he's hopeless. However, he does know he's charming and tries to use it to his advantage but whenever he slips up or you catch him by surprise you can see he's a total dork, of course it probably helps that he can use or hide his French accent at will. He soaks up languages like a sponge and has a way with words but is horrendous at potions. Roran is a very chill but excitable and animated person, he’s hard to anger as he doesn’t get offended easily. He’s also friendly and can be talkative, able to spin almost any story. childhood: Roran was born in France and grew up in the countryside near the German border. His family owned a farm where his mother bred and raised winged horses and his father grew potions ingredients. His parents and younger sister died in the early years of the muggle war before they were able- or even thought to evacuate. All three were killed during the first year of the muggle war, leaving nine-year-old Roran an orphan, loud sounds will remind him of the artillery fire. He was taken in by his grandfather, an alchemist and inventor in Dublin, who had also partially taken in Roran's cousin Verity. The two had never met before as Roran's grandfather Senen had been shunned by Verity's side for marrying a muggle-born woman, but the two became fast friends and eventually were as close as siblings. Roran loved going with his grandfather whenever he had jobs that took him to other countries and would always ask for stories about his travels.

He was sorted into Hufflepuff, the same house as his mother, and began his first year eagerly, being surrounded by magic and his grandfather's many experiments, Roran quickly realized that he actually had an advanced view of magic because of this but didn't want to take advanced lessons, preferring to not pack his schedule to the point of immense stress like he'd seen people do. He made friends easy thanks to his friendly personality and isn't exactly popular but is well known as he became one of the quidditch announcers in his third year.

childhood: Mercy was born in Peru and spent her first year of life there (plus two more on and off) but has never had a place to truly call home though as her parents traveled around South America for most of her early childhood until moving Eastern Europe when she was six and doing the same there. One of six siblings and the only girl until the youngest twins were born when she was seven, Mercy learned how to stand up for herself quickly. She was always close with her older brothers as they had the smallest age gap of a little under a year but grew close with her younger brother Luca as well just in a different way. She was a bit of a troublemaker as a child which came as a bit of a surprise for her parents since her older brothers were rather well behaved with the younger one being so too. Mercy was a wild child and has always loved the outdoors and traveling, which worked out because both of her parents were mazoologists and the family was always moving around for their work; this is how she managed to get her quetzalcoatl quill wand in Mexico on a short trip back with her father. She always preferred the warmer places like Bolivia, New Zealand and Greece as well as Mexico and Peru but grew to love Europe as well. If she had to pick somewhere to call home it probably be either Peru (as it's where she was born and spent the most time in South America) or Germany because it's her mother's homeland and where they made their homebase in Europe after her mother had a difficult pregnancy with the youngest set of Castell twins shortly after coming back to Europe. Because she spent her early childhood in South America, Mercy is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese plus German which Helena taught all her children, so she's really not sure what to call her first language.
school years: There was some debate as to which school the Castell children would attend as Cyril was London born while Helena was German, but in the end they let their children decide. It wasn't much of a decision for Mercy once her older brothers chose Hogwarts and she was sorted into Gryffindor. Mercy immediately took a liking to herbology and showed a lot of knowledge about plants from her time traveling. wandlore & history_ Fir is known as "the survivor's wand", Fir wands are particularly suited to Transfiguration, and favour owners of focused, strong-minded and, occasionally, intimidating demeanour. This particular wand wood paired with the heartstring of a Chimera, can make it a difficult wand to master. As Chimera scale has been distributed among people over two thousand years ago it is not a common core type even more so given that the first wand made from the Chimera killed so long ago was given the heartstring of the beast as a custom made wand for a prominent Witch in Greece. She paid three times the going price for the rarest wand in the world just to obtain the wand core. She also hand picked each tree that would be used to create the wands the scales would be used for later. Aria Nyx was the wife of a very rich wizard, Artemis Nyx. Anything she desired she got including one of the rarest most personal handmade wands in the ancient world. The families prominence of course only went so far as Greece and Italy and as more reform took place it was less in taste to be Pureblood. The family lost their place in society over the course of a thousand years barely capable of holding their societal status and their riches. The wand of Aria Nyx became the last truly valuable item in the Nyx family fortune passed down between the first born child of the family for each generation. Eros acquired the wand when his childless uncle passed and it was inherently his to own as the first born of the next generation.

Patronus: Scorpion - an unusual patronus, indeed, it is seen in Eros given his strong familial ties which like the scorpion has not wavered for thousands of generations just as scorpions still appear similar to their more ancient ancestors. It is seen with people who are calculating, independent, and strangely empathetically nurturing. A scorpion usually only attacks when provoked rarely aggressive, but step across their line and its game over. (Fun fact: Eros Nyx, his father, paternal grandfather, and paternal great grandfather all share the same patronus and it is believed to be the same patronus of Aria Nyx, Eros' ancient ancestor.)

Personality: Charming, eloquent, and clever is the most simplistic way to describe the facade that makes up the persona that Eros allows everyone to see. Deep down he is not nearly as confident with his actions. In fact, quite the opposite, Eros overthinks every situation into the worst scenario and is always setting imaginary expectations for himself that he believes is a standard others are holding him at. He is always sure of his decisions when making them because he has already thought of every scenario that would be bad regardless of what choice he made. Unfortunately, he believes every individual holds him at a certain standard. His parents expect good grades and nothing but excellence, his peers expect a leader, younger students expect a rolemodel. These imaginary standards have given him the drive and ambition to be the best at everything he does. He is a leader, timid and kind, brave and wise, charmful and really just a good guy. Eros isn't the typical dark wizard who might be born into Slytherin, but probably embodies the lighter side of it the more positive side. History: Born to pureblood parents, Zephyros Nyx and Cleopatra Sandscar. The Sandscar family were a prominent family that could trace their purity for eighteen generations. To maintain status and wealth within the family they arranged the union of their eldest daughter and the Nyx families second son. This arrangement occured while the mothers were both pregnant with their children. Already knowing the genders it seemed logical to ensure the families held blood purity and wealth. They accepted their marriage as was custom to for the age. It took a few years before they grew close enough to actually want to be married. And a few years more they renewed their vows and announced the pregnancy of their first child. Eros was born into a very loving and supportive family. His father taught him to earn his way even if he already had the means to pay his way. His mother taught him to be gentle and kind and always listen to the needs of others. Even as a witch and wizard that leaned toward the dark arts they were not horrible parents. Zelus was born two years later. Eros was taught to be a role model for his younger brother early on. They were much more mild to blood purity than their parents were, but they still had a name to maintain and they were still in an age where blood purity was just as important as social status.
Eros and his family left Greece after he turned five due to the family name being bashed in their home country and the loss of their status among the other prominent families of Greece. This occured when it was rumored that the family practiced dark magic to gain their wealth through the use of at least two unforgivable curses. While denying this to press the Nyx family was force to flee. Unfortunately, that meant Eros would not attend his mother's family school of Beauxbatons. They took up a nice home in Godric's Hollow and the family at last found refuge from people who knew their family name. Eventually, Zephyros took a ministry position which he never talks about. Cleopatra took a job working for the Daily Prophet that she never shutsup about. Eros loves his family and respects his father for trying to rebuild the family name. Luckily, his parents life struggle became less of his struggle when he finally got his letter. Just before the term started Zephyros older brother Atlas passed away and then passed down his wand to his nephew Eros. That wand was an ancient source of magic that once belonged to Aria Nyx. Eros started at Hogwarts and was sorted, but the hat was at odds feeling torn between Hufflepuff and Slytherin and once evem considered Gryffindor. At last, the hat settled on Slytherin. He was placed in the same home as his father who was transferred to Hogwarts when he was in school.
Eros grew fond of Transfigurations and picked up on it quickly. He also found skill in offensive magic as well as Care for Magical Creatures. Eros knew by his fifth year he was destined to become an animagus and on his 16th birthday petitioned for the right to practice and become one. Since then it has been his end of school goal to become a full animagus. He has always been friendly, but more focused on his studies rather than making long-term friendships. Eros is still working on choosing a career path, but he excels in all his courses he could probably choose any profession to follow.

History:
Born in a remote Wizard settlement in southern Virginia. Cormac Koronis and Ann Forester met through work. Cormac was a mobile wand salesman and Ann was an herbologist who at the particular time of meeting Cormac fell and broke her wand. Cormac of course used a spell to cause the incident, but he had done it randomly in the crowd just for a chance to advertise his work. Ann was reluctant, but eventually did decide upon one of his wands. After a short conversation about how she was new to the town and just settling into a pleasant homestead and how Cormac was originally from the settlement and was looking to spend the rest of the season in his family home the two quickly hit it off and Ann got a free wand out of it. It was only three months of knowing each other and they were married and nine months later Ann passed away giving birth to their son. Erik was raised by his father, but the man lost himself to the drink after Ann died. Erik wasn't ever mistreated, but he did live with witnessing his father drown out his sorrows until he would pass out. It was so bad that before Erik was of age to live on his own he could not recall a single day with his father being sober. Eventually, Cormac drank himself into an early grave at the age of 46. Erik finished his education at Ilvermorny and used his families money to gamble in illegal duelling matches. Most of the family fortune vanished within a couple of years. Erik got caught in the wrong crowd after moving out west and became a professional underground dueller. Naturally, this situation saw many illegal activities being highly connected to the wizarding black market. During this time Erik managed to finish extended studies and become a full fledged Animagus, but to ensure the law never caught onto him he remained unregistered. After a year of dealing with some shadey characters and trafficking illegal substances, animals, potions, and cursed objects Erik had an eye opening moment. He placed a bet on himself the last of his money and coincidentally his last illegal duel. However, he was unaware that his debt collectors who were not the most agreeable people decided he could pay off his debts with his life. His opposer was paid a handsome amount to kill Erik during their duel because his winning streak was not favorable for business entertainment purposes. In illegal duelling there are no rules as to what spells can and cannot be cast, but there is a limit on the number of times one can use the killing curse per round, which is 3. Erik was skilled enough that his opponent seemed almost sloppy by the third round. He had dodged and deflected six killing curses which made him realize his life was fully in danger given that the first round his opponent used all three allowed curses as his first three spells. Erik was tired, but not giving up the fight. He had never killed anyone in his life, but he was cold enough to summon the spell without having to use words if necessary. By the middle of the third round his opponent was still saving his three assassination attempts. Erik knew he would have to find a way out of the situation because if his opponent fails and Erik disarms him or kills him then someone was probably waiting in the crowd to finish the job. He tried to prolong the duel with as many protective charms as possible no longer playing offense. In a desperate bid for his life he went wild with his wand casting fiend fyre and summon all manner of fiery beasts. During the commotion his opponent was easily disarmed and anyone who might have had ill intent for him was now blocked by a panicked crowd.
Erik took every bit of money from the duel, everyones winnings. He used the money to buy a passport and passageway by portkey. The portkey travel only got him from the west coast to the east coast where he then quickly used a fake identity as already his picture was in the papers as the one who set the marketplace on fire and was traveling at large apparently armed and dangerous. He hated potionsmaking, but had to really test his abilities when making polyjuice potion. He had four different bottles of four different identities. Using his disguises he made his way out of the country. He had a friend in London who aided people in getting credentials to find work. In no time he was able to identify as a citizen of the UK with a clean background and applied for the Defense Against the Dark Arts position, unfortunately, it was declined. Even tho his first job idea was declined after reviewing his Ilvermorny courses he seemed very suitable for the Transfigurations position and was offered the job the same day he was denied the other position.
Erik is very secretive and never shares too much with fellow staff members, but this is his first year of teaching at Hogwarts and he really hopes his life is on a new track now and his past can be left behind him in the states.

While olive is a good choice for any witch or wizard it proves exceptionally powerful in those descended from its natural habitat. It host a strong affinity for Divinations & Astronomy. Personality: Loyal only to his family, Zelus would conduct heinous crimes if it was in the best interest of his family. His visions have sculpted his personality as it has made life predictable and boring. The mediocre life to be led by a young wizard still in school is not very stimulating. Being a bit of an introvert he still host a bit of charm and eloquence when interacting with others, especially those of a higher status than himself. Zelus may have a tendency to be off by himself, but his social life is not lacking as everyone in his year seems to think he is an okay guy. He may be in Slytherin, thats because his ambition in his studies and his cunning in everyday life, but he is really a sweet guy. In his mind so long as everyone perceived his intentions to be good then when he did wrong it would be more forgivable. History: Born just two years after his brother, Eros, to Cleopatra and Zephyros Nyx. Zelus like his brother was born in Greece, before blood purity went out of style and most of the wizard community of the country turned a bit against the ancient higher families of pure blood status. When their family was forced to flee because it was believed their wealth was only acquired through their status and dark magic Zelus was only three. Of course, they made it to the pleasant wizard community of Godric's Hollow. Zelus watched his brother's gifts blossom almost instantly. He was capable of procuring magic at a young age and consciously did so. While Zelus only had his visions in his dreams mostly he showed no other signs of magic, but he still received his Hogwarts letter as if the quill had detected an act of magic. By the time he started school his brother was already a third year. He was sorted into Slytherin which his father and mother didn't seem surprised by. While his brother always looked out for him he didn't try to hangout often simply because he was older and had a life of his own to lead. Zelus didnt go without allies and friends growing up, but he still preferred books to people. As he has trained to harness his visions he has practically mastered being fully aware during his visions and without speaking he has been able to go into a trance and receive important visions while still being fully aware of his trance. Now in his fifth year of schooling he has come to decide upon a career path he might pursue. He is stuck between studying magical languages and finding a career where such talents might be needed or going aloof and becoming an professor of Divinations.

rudimentary: Determined and hardworking, Leviticus knows what he wants and will achieve it. He has a strong moral compass and sense of justice, feeling that because he was given the power to change things for the better that it's his obligation to do so. Some see him as intimidating but in reality he's probably the most compassionate and caring of his siblings, often thinking of others before himself. A natural born leader, Leviticus often is stuck in positions of leadership he never wanted his whole life but was forced to accept eventually that he would be given them. Being the oldest of six kids meant that as they got older his parents felt more comfortable leaving them for longer periods of time, which really wasn't much different then how they were allowed to run around campsites, but it put a lot of stress on Leviticus who felt responsible for his siblings. This is what most likely led to his later problem of feeling he has to look after everyone.

childhood: Born in New York, Leviticus and his (younger) twin brother Silas were the first of six children and born just two days after their parents' ship docked in America. From there it was constant moving until their younger sister and later brother were born but even then they only stayed in one place for a year at most. The family spent most of their time in South America, with sort trips to the North America, until going back to Europe when the twins were seven. While they still traveled and moved almost constantly the Castells made a homebase in Germany, their mother's homeland, after she had a difficult pregnancy with the youngest set of Castell twins shortly after coming back to Europe. Leviticus quickly grew to love Europe. Growing up his siblings often teased him of being "a knight in shining armor" and "a mother hen" when he would scold Silas or Mercy for doing something dangerous and he was and still is very protective of his younger siblings, but he has grown out of it somewhat, or rather grown into something new.
school years: Always ambitious and hardworking it didn't come as huge a surprise when Leviticus was sorted into Hufflepuff although they had guessed both him and Silas would he placed in Slytherin. It however didn’t surprise anyone in the least when he became Head Boy although he missed out on the Prefect position. History: Born in France to Andre Zagon and Seraphina Zagon two pureblood Alchemist obsessed with recreating the philosopher's stone. He was an only child, but thats only as far as he knows. Adrien lost his parents to an unknown cause. They were doing one of their Alchemy experiments and it turned catastrophic. Half of their home vanished entirely in a flash of red light. Adrien was only seven, but his parents never returned. He was then raised by his prejudice aunt on his mother's side, Angelica Belial, who didn't work and just lived off of the wealth of multiple dead husbands. Adrien was raised with her blatant disregard for other humans and her hatred for those of non blood purity. Adrien grew to also resent them for she often made fair points about how muggleborns should be classified as entirely different magical beings as there is no real connection to wizard kind. They also believe their should be inner school segregation between halfbloods and purebloods.
With this upbringing it was easy to see how he just melded into that lifestyle of being resentful for no reason and relishing in the finer things of life.
By the time he was able to attend school his aunt Angelica moved them to Denmark. Where he received his school letter to Hogwarts. It was a hard toss up when being sorted. The Sorting Hat spent nearly seven and a half minutes choosing between Slytherin and Hufflepuff. He would have fit in well with Slytherin, but the hat saw deep into his mind and heart and saw that loyalty, hardwork, and morality were key factors in his character. Once set in Hufflepuff his drive for knowledge had no bounds. Adrien went on to study more in depth old magic. His free periods were spent learning all he could about original Ancient magic and its similarities with the Dark Arts. Adrien had a bit of an obsession with the Dark Arts, but he wanted to know and discover ways that the Dark Arts could be used for good or at least if they could be used with good intentions.
His aunt died his seventh year, it was mysterious circumstances, but Adrien was in school when it happened so he had a logical alibi. Upon graduating his talents were scouted when he applied for a position in the French Ministry of Magic. Thats when he was given training to be an assassin and eventually led a life of murder for pay. From the age of 18 to 30 Adrien was a killer. Eventually, he realized there was more to the jobs than money and when he started killing good people he had to stop because he knew he was killing them for the wrong reasons. Once he retired he left the life of death behind him entirely. It was so certain death was behind him that his patronus, a Thestral, was no longer capable.of being produced. Adrien was 31 when he applied for the Dark Arts position. The Ministry had him evaluated thoroughly before he was allowed to take the position. After a full background investigation and mental evaluation it was deemed safe for him to teach students and interact in basic society. During the few years he has taught the class the Ministry has employed him to do private investigations without taking action, for small sums.
