This book is written with the aim of looking at the issue of violence and sexual assault towards many Native American woman and advocating for reforms, both legal and cultural, to protect the women. The book covers the historical legacy of violence towards women, as well as the current situation. This was a very interesting and important book, that looks not just at the problem, but provides some solutions. There were times that it felt a little bit like reading a legal textbook, but I really appreciated the fact that the book wasn’t afraid to engage with complex problems, and her honest approach to restorative justice.
