Sarah Connell (sarahconnell) | 315 comments I’m number 375 on hold for this one at the library - so I’ll be joining in the discussion sometime in the next 5 years 😆

Anna (vegfic) | 10464 comments Haha oh no! :D It's very popular! I got lucky and I think lots of people had their hold suspended, because it said 8 weeks and a couple of days later I got it.

Sarah Connell (sarahconnell) | 315 comments Good news is there’s 65 copies so who knows!

Anna (vegfic) | 10464 comments It's on Hoopla so those with access don't have to wait :)

message 6: by Ellen (last edited Jun 03, 2023 03:26PM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Ellen | 940 comments I have a hold on all 3 mediums
Audio: 195 in queue
ebook: 153 (I was 180 2 weeks ago when I put it on hold)
hardback: 122

Kirsi | 138 comments I was lucky enough to get this as an audiobook a few months ago before its popularity skyrocketed, and I really enjoyed it! Marcellus is the best.

DivaDiane SM | 3717 comments Thanks for the tip, Anna! Hoopla it is!

Georgann I also was waaay down on the library hold list, #302. However, for reasons unknown, I got the book about 2 days after I put it on hold! I'm off to a great start! After all my May poor picks (I had 3 DNF and the rest were all 3 stars, which is not good for me!) I am glad to be enjoying this one from the beginning!

Cheryl (cherylllr) My library copy is in my possession. I think we have a lower percentage of SFF readers in our system.

My first impression is that it looks a bit on the 'epic' side so I hope it's an engaging read.

Raucous | 888 comments Day 93 of my failing to get back to this book.

This is one of those multiple PoV books that I sometimes find so frustrating. Marcellus is wonderfully sardonic. Tova is charming in her own way. Cameron... Cameron... Sigh.

The audiobook version of this, based on listening to not quite the first half, is excellent.

Cheryl (cherylllr) It's also one of those books that builds up for quite awhile, and then things start happening... so to speak.... Don't give up yet!

Aprille in Texas | 1 comments I listen almost exclusively to audiobooks. I started this one several months ago and didn’t finish. Decided to go back and give it another go - and ended up loving it. I took a chance and recommended to my dh last week and he just finished it today and also really enjoyed it (which surprised me. Lol)

Cheryl (cherylllr) That's great!

Bobby Durrett | 241 comments Finally got this from the county library through Libby. 14 days to read it which is plenty unless life gets busy. I left my hold out there on my city library just in case I can’t finish in time.

Cheryl (cherylllr) Enjoy!

Bobby Durrett | 241 comments Action is picking up. I was getting a little bored but I’m at around 58% and it is getting interesting.

Ellen | 940 comments Got my library copy and read first chapter last night.

Good to know. I'm at 25% and I was wondering.

Bonnie | 1290 comments Read three Marcellus and two Tova entries. I really like the writing voice. Seems like it will be good.

Richard (thinkingbluecountingtwo) | 447 comments Only a year late to the party 😲
It’s pleasant and slightly quirky, but only peripherally fantasy I reckon.
Makes a pleasant change for me.
