Shelby Kay | 30 comments I feel like most opinions center around books always being better than any adaptation whether it be TV or film. Are there any adaptations out there that you guys actually prefer over the original novel?

rae (jurdan's version) Shadow and bone (but not the crows part)

ooooooh I love the show, but I haven't read the source material. Is it still worth it to read?

Well I would say that Six of Crows is 100% worth the read but it would make more sense if you read Shadow and Bone first (Six of Crows is a continue on series from Shadow and Bone) So yeah I would say that you should read SAB if you want to read SOC

message 38: by Georgia (new)

Georgia Scott | 14 comments Moby Dick (1956) captures the adventure of the novel - young guy goes on a whaling ship without first seeing its captain - and its ultimate doom. Gregory Peck makes a handsome and frightening captain. Worth a look.

message 40: by uxue ☆ (new)

uxue ☆ | 10 comments I would have to agree with the people who have said Shadow&Bone. For me, the first book was very good. The next two, however, were too repetitive and boring, the show was much better. As far as the Crows' story goes, they say it's very good but I haven't read the books yet.

P.S. Little Women (2019) is an amazing movie but there's no way it's better than the book!! They are both great and just complement each other.
