The story tells the experience of the female human who landed on a plant trying to communicate with the short stocky inhabitants. At the same time the story follows the experience of the "alien" trying the communicate and understand the strange human invaders. Its not the book "Nor Crystal Tears". I know it sounds similar but in this case the "aliens" are short and stocky. The main character marvels at how long and lanky the humans are, and having to appear to unfold as they stand up. He also puzzles at why they need to have rush into a small room (toilet) after having a period of hibernation (sleep). The "alien" is not considered the brightest in his colony but he is the one that learns how to commmunicate. I so enjoyed this book. I so hope someone might recognise my description. Thankyou. )
