Jess Rice (jessrice) | 6 comments I prefer the actual book.

message 52: by Anita (new)

Anita (neet413) | 53 comments Paperback. The only thing I really read on my tablet is the news.

message 53: by Stacy (new)

Stacy | 15 comments My favorite are physical books, but ebooks do come in handy for those times when a regular book would be inconvenient.

message 54: by joyce g (new)

joyce g | 156 comments Can't beat the feel of that first time you open the cover. Paper all the way!

message 55: by Stacy (new)

Stacy | 15 comments Yeppers : )

message 56: by kylie (new)

kylie Doesn't matter to me, honestly. I have a Kindle, and I have tons of books. It just depends on the mood of the story honestly. I would much rather read a Paperback of Harry Potter, but a romantic Novel I like to read on the Kindle. Odd I know, but it's just what I like.

message 57: by Nina (new)

Nina Law My favorite is the real hardback book, but I will read any format.

message 58: by Aditi (new)

Aditi Nirmal (bibliophile-) | 3 comments Both have their own pros for me.

I love how a paper book feels and every bookaholic will understand and relate when I say that the charm of paper books is something out of this world.

But since my routine has gotten busier since the past year and I have to balance a lot of things + spend some time traveling, I find ebooks very convenient and handy.

In a way, I love reading both, because at the end of the end, it's still reading, isn't it?

ℓуηη_σƒ_νєℓαяιѕ | 7 comments I prefer paper. I love the weight of a book, the smell of paper and ink! Nothing beats it. Also I don't have a kindle or nook, so to read ebooks I have to sit uncomfortably for hours holding my laptop >_<

message 60: by Keri (new)

Keri (keri91) I like paper books but I prefer ebook! I read too fast and there's not enough room for the books I want to read until I'm old and have my huge, dream library lol.

message 61: by Karyn (new)

Karyn | 9 comments Before ebooks I NEVER read. I hated paper books. One day, I bought a Kindle and NEVER put it down. I read one one book after another and love it.

message 62: by sonya (new)

sonya marie madden | 183 comments Paper. Books over ebooks but I read both

message 63: by Deb (new)

Deb (debsd) | 8 comments Very much Kindle. I was faithful to paper for such a long time, but then I started reading on my iPad Mini, and was converted to e-format - just so much more convenient, lighter, keeps your place, take hundreds of books wherever you go... Then I got a Kindle PW and it's even lighter and nicer to read on. I get quite prickly now if a book I want isn't available as an ebook lol!

message 64: by Breyaniah (new)

Breyaniah (breyhall) I really like to see and smell my library, so I like hard copies more. However, I find it really hard to not buy e-books if I find something I like for $2.

message 65: by Wendy (new)

Wendy (wendelina) Lately I've been reading 3 books at the same time - audiobook in my car, eBook in my purse, and paper copy in the bathroom :-)

message 66: by Karyn (new)

Karyn | 9 comments EBOOKS. Definitely.

message 67: by Sara (new)

Sara | 13 comments I like to use ebooks when the physical book is too large to read comfortably.

message 68: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (tjohn33791) If I purchase a book it's always a paper book. If I borrow it from the library it's an ebook.

message 69: by Alie (new)

Alie (alienicole) | 7 comments Depends on the book. Books I am not sure I will like, that I'm taking a chance on, I will buy or borrow as an E book.

I will buy my favorites as physical books because, well, nostalgia.

I like my cocktail books to always be hardcover because they are absolutely gorgeous and most of them do contain pictures.

Biographies are a toss up depending on how much I enjoy the topic and think I will reference it.

message 70: by Tanya (new)

Tanya (tanya23510) | 24 comments I absolutely love paper books. There is nothing like holdimg a book while u read it - not to mention the smell!
But a few years ago I gave in and bought a Kindle and I really didnt expect to like it so much! like so many of you said, it has so so many pros, its light, easy to read, dictionary, etc... but I do still miss my Paper books. I just wish whenever you bought a paper copy of a book, you also got the ebook for free!!

message 71: by Emerence (new)

Emerence (cre8inglaughter) I definitely enjoy both. When I get busy it's nice to have the convenience of an ebook, but like when it's raining I like to curl up with the actual paperback book.

message 72: by Crystal♛ (new)

Crystal♛ (ladycrystallynn) | 4 comments Majority of my books are ebooks because of the convince. When it ends up being a book I am in LOVE with I regret not getting the paperback. I am planning on purchasing my favorites in paperback. With the way technology changes I scare that something will happen with my ebook library. But you can keep a paperback for as long as it stands.

message 73: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa (batgirl2401) I absolutely love the feel and smell of a physical copy book. I prefer paperbacks when I'm travelling around and a hardcover when I'm home. I've recently gotten into audiobooks, and though I don't really have long drives, I find it so relaxing to listen to a book while I'm on the road.

message 74: by tammy (new)

tammy (tamutheshamu) Although using ebooks (Kindle, Overdrive) is plenty more convenient than physical copies, I will always prefer the feel and touch of a real, solid book in my hands. Plus, my eyes start hurting after looking at an electronic for too long.

message 75: by Jim (new)

Jim Townsend | 35 comments Paper books. Since the renovations and repairs of my house last year, and my wife's illness these past five months, my Kindles (and their chargers) are in boxes. I love the feel of a physical book: the feel and soft whisper of a turned page (no matter how well an e-reader may reproduce the sound, it just isn't the same), and somehow one cannot curl up with an e-reader as one can with a physical book.

That last bit is SO true. Curl up with a goo e-reader... said no one ever ;)

JK to all my e-reader friends <3

message 77: by Tyla (new)

Tyla Milian (tylamilian) It seems like there is a consensus here that there is something about holding that book in your hands....but I do love the convenience of an ebook.

message 78: by DASL (new)

DASL Writer (daslwrites) | 2 comments I have to admit I like the smell of paper books, but the inexpensiveness of ebooks.

message 79: by Bookish Hound (new)

Bookish Hound (bookish_hound) | 5 comments I prefer paper back books and really enjoy going to bookshops and librarys rather than reading an ebook. For me nothing compares to the feel of a paper book and its nice to escape from technology and the real world every once in a while.

message 80: by Brittany (new)

Brittany (brittlab) | 11 comments I prefer paper books, but I always have an ebook going as well so I can read anywhere I go via my phone. I like the tangibility of paper books and I find that my comprehension tends to be higher with them. I look at a computer screen at work, so I'd rather look at something that isn't a screen while not at work.

Samantha (ourbookishplace) Chirag wrote: "hello guy..... which one is more in fashion paper book or ebooks?"

Paperback is my favorite, I can build a physical library with them. It is also now easier for me to read paperback than kindle. so i stopped buying ebooks and buy mainly used books instead.

My nest friend listens to audiobooks and she loves them too. It really depends on the person. :)

message 83: by Margot (new)

Margot (margotmontreal) | 166 comments I loved my Kindle at first, but I always prefered paper books.
I picked up my Kindle to read the book of the month and I find my eyes get tired very quickly, much more so than with a physical book.

message 84: by Jules (new)

Jules | 1 comments I've always been a paper fan but environmentally it doesn't make sense I know. I do make good use of my books though and pass them on to friends when finished or donate them to charity. If I really love a book I'll keep it but most are passed to others one way or another.

I love that :) Recycling books is important. I try to take mine to the Little Free Libraries or my local library if I am done with it and know I won't ant to pick it up again too!

message 86: by Nancy from NJ (new)

Katz Nancy from NJ (nancyk18) I never thought I would read from an e book but packing up for a month long trip to Australia and Zeneca Zealand putting books into my suitcase instead of clothes. Next day my husband brought home a kindle and I hardly ever read hardcover or paperback books although I have plenty to read. While I really enjoy my kindle, I can always understand when somebody doesn’t like this way to read.

message 91: by Sharon Louise (new)

Sharon Louise Up until the very beginning of this year i had the opinion that ebooks were almost a sacrilege and there was nothing like a 'real' book. My home was chockablock with 'real' books, thousands of them, and i was something of a hoarder of them. But then parts of Australia were devastated and destroyed by ferocious bushfires and on the night of the New Year and the early hours of 2020 our whole property became one of the bushfire statistics and we lost everything.
So to escape from reality i started reading on my tablet and i have not looked book, in fact i have not read a 'real' book since. I discovered how convenient they were, how easier they were with size of font options etc, and how they take up no physical space which is something i have to think about under my current circumstances.
Nothing looks more awesome than bookshelves full of reading material but life has changed hugely for me and i now love my tablet and won't be going back to paper.

Oh, Sharon.... my sympathies on your devastating loss. So glad you have found a reading rainbow in the aftermath of the storm.

Maggie the Muskoka Library Mouse (mcurry1990) I will read eBooks, but I far prefer an actual physical copy.

message 94: by [deleted user] (new)

I've always been a bit 50/50 with this. Ebooks are great for when you are travelling, out and about and at night. That said, there is something about physical books that I just love.

Lisa | 6 comments Tried e-books, but found myself back to my beloved paper. I use an amber book light at night. I makes me feel like I'm reading by candlelight. The warm light does not keep me awake at night like my e-reader.
