Shatter Me
question
Is shatter me really all that and should I read it?
I read it yeeeears ago when I was in my teens, I DEVOURED the entire series very quicky. Even now, 10+ years after reading it, I still rememeber the characters and plot very clearly (which says a lot about these books because I cant remember what I had for breakfast yesterday :)
the series took me over 5 months to finish, I didn't really enjoy it and felt it was just an effort to keep on reading, and by the time I reached the last few books I really didn't want to continue but I just kept on at it anyway.
I think that if I had read it within a shorter period, I would definitely have enjoyed it more, so it was probably my own fault lol. But you should definitely read it as it wasn't too bad :)

Is it as amazing as people claim? No. Is it lovable trope? Of course.
Think Hunger Games meets Divergent meets From Blood and Ash. (Note: all 3 of these series are far superior to this one).
It was a quick read, I’ll definitely read the rest just to find out where it goes, but the character development falls flat compared to similar series in this genre. The concept is spot on, but not executed as well as it could be. Helpful details are passed up for unnecessary inner dialogue, which starts to get downright annoying towards the second half of the book.
Read it, but please know there are much better series out there if you enjoy the concept of this one.
