Thanks for looking into this, Philip. The NOOK version could never have existed. I only commissioned Outskirts Press to create the Kindle version after the paperback edition had been released. The only way a NOOK edition would have been created was if I had paid them to create that edition, which I most certainly did not. Besides, the ISBN number associated with this fictitious edition is totally incorrect and bears no resemblance whatsoever to a valid ISBN number. The whole entry is specious, and I have no idea from where it derives.

Standard NOOK ISBN format, so it is not fictitious in that manner.

Well, this is interesting. I finally found my way back into my B&N author's account (it took me a while to figure out how to get into the Nook Press system (I was used to the old PubIt)) and look at the books I have listed with them. There I found House of Cards with the B&N identifier cited above, but the book is not currently for sale on their site. I can find no record in my e-mails of having purchased the EPUB version, though Outskirts Press did offer me the option to produce such an edition in September, 2011.

You were absolutely right to leave the book as is. Still, it's currently subscribed under Amazon's KDP program, so as of now, I have no intention of selling it on B&N.

Thanks for looking into this for me. Your pointing out the NOOK ISBN format is what got me thinking about digging further into my data on B&N's site.

Sometimes, not always. And the same ISBN may be used for the ebook on other sites, in which case we would list it as another edition.
