I’m trying to remember the name of this children’s book I read most likely in the late 90s. It’s about a dalmatian puppy who I think starts in a pet store window and definitely ends up being found/adopted by a fireman and becoming a fire dog.
He’s a flat 2-D cartoon I think. The plot in the middle might be something like he’s trying to find a good home or job for himself, but they’re not quite right, and then he gets a little sad, and then a fireman finds him and it’s a happy ending. I’m almost positive he’s a dalmatian.
On the cover, I think we’re looking at the puppy from outside through the window of the pet store.
