This illustrated children's book was read when I was a child so before 1998. I am guessing it was published between the 80's and mid 90's. We took it out from the library and it wasn't that old looking when we read it. This was about a lamb or sheep that I believe got out and got stuck in a storm and was found in a ditch. A woman (and child possibly?) found the sheep and took him inside and took care of him and cleaned him up. This is odd, but I specifically remember there being an illustrated page of them blowing dry the sheep with a blow dryer. It was just a very sweet story. They may have lived on a farm or just been a house up the road I am not sure. Thank you for any information you all can provide!

With some more googling, I found the title of the story, it is "Smudge, the Little Lost Lamb" by James Herriot :)
