annotating!!

i really want to start annotating but i really don’t know how to start! does anyone have any recommendations on how to annotate?

When you get tabs for annotations use the plastic rectangle they come on as a ruler so you have straight lines
Also I just use what ever tabs and pens that are available but online is got better quality stuff

hi!! avid annotater(not a word) here— number one thing to do is just write what you think!! it doesn’t have to be hyper-intelligent or anything. the amount of times i’ve just wrote ‘ugh’ or ‘lol’…

number two: get those cute tabs on amazon and (my friend taught me this one) match the colors of tabs your using to the cover of the book. it’s super fun and makes the whole situation easier!!

number three: before you start a new book, for each color tab you use, predetermine what it means (ie green could be quotes, yellow for feminist themes, blue for romantic moments, whatevs)

i just treat it like a wattpad comment section lol. i write in pencil and try not to take myself too seriously!

Ngl, my English teacher ruined annotating for me😭
