Two teens that discover they have "Powers" when they're together. Read 2010-2011.

The book is titled "Power" or "Powers" or something like that but I don't know who the author is. It's a teen fiction novel about an unpopular aspiring journalist teen in high school who meets this new guy in school who seems to be the typical "tall, dark and handsome" type but he has bowel issues and uses ant-diarrhea pills.
They meet and realize when they're together, the experience this special connection (hence the title). I can't remember if they're psychic or something but when something bad is about to happen in their town, the guy seems to always be there to save the day and the girl happens to be there to report it. Then some romance stuff happens and I can't remember anything else about the book besides the cover which had half of a male's face and half of a female's face (though I know a lot of books have different cover variations).

I read this book back in 2010 or 2011 at the library but I can't find it in my history and when I search the book "Power" the most popular books that show up are "Secret: the Power" by Rhonda Byrne and "The 48 Laws of Power" by Robert Greene, both of which are not the book I'm looking for.

Can someone please help me figure out the title of this book and who the author is? It's been bugging me for like 10 years :(
