You're speaking my language with this post.
I absolutely love Star Wars. I watched the original trilogy dozens and dozens of times as a kid. I had the 3-pack VHS.
I also loved the prequel trilogy. I think I was the right age for it, because I was 9 when Episode 1 came out in 1999. They're not quite as good as the original trilogy obviously but they're still great.
And I think I'm one of the few who love the new ones too. I wasn't super into Solo or Rogue One, but I loved the new trilogy, and am excited for the next movie they announced that will focus on Rey. It's an unpopular opinion but I thought Rey was a great character.
The TV shows are also pretty good. I'm currently watching the animated series "Rebels" in anticipation of "Ahsoka" coming out in August. I haven't seen "Rebels" before but I know that a lot of the characters from that show will appear in Ahsoka.
But my favorite will always be Return of the Jedi. That was always my favorite as a kid. I thought it was such a fun movie. I loved Luke's relationship with Vader in that movie too, and Vader's redemption. It's surprisingly emotional. And I also just overall had a boyhood crush/idolization of Harrison Ford haha. He was just so incredible as Han and Indiana Jones.
But Baby Yoda (Grogu) is also so adorable. The droids are unmatched too. I love how all the Star Wars movies put such great personality into the droids. I loved R2 so much as a kid (still do!)
I could talk for ages about Star Wars but I'll stop now. haha. My post was long enough, probably more than you bargained for. :)
Hope things are going well at MPC!

Hi Colton,
I'm so glad to hear from you. Isn't amazing how much Star Wars has touched our lives? Yes, the VHS days! I remember seeing it at the movie theatre for the first time. I couldn't believe the magic I just witnessed. I never wanted these movies to end. These characters have become like family and when these actors pass, I can't imagine anyone else ever playing their characters.
For me, as time passes and new prequels and sequels etc. are created, I'm sad not see some of the veteran actors, but also happy that the stories continue for others to enjoy. What a joy it has been to see Anakin and Obi-Wan together again. I would love to see them bring back Natalie Portman as Padme in a prequel.
Yes, Harrison Ford. I love his voice! I sure loved to watch him on screen with Carrie Fisher. Indiana Jones...another gem.
The wisdom of Yoda...he always made me feel better about life and how to handle those difficult moments. R2D2, C3PO, Chewy, what a powerful circle of friends to have at your side. Love and loyalty!
I have loved every moment watching these beloved characters.

That’s so amazing you saw the originals in theaters!
I’ve seen every movie since Episode 1 in 1999 in theaters but it must have been extra special to see the originals!
And luckily there is still one more Indiana Jones movie with Harrison Ford. Though I heard this next one is for sure his last one. The trailers look great though, so I’m really excited for it!! I think it comes out in July or August. I’ll for sure be seeing it opening weekend :)

Hi Colton,
Yes, back in the day...I did stand in lines to watch movies. I don't do that anymore! The best part was finding friends in line and visiting with each other while waiting, making new friends. I just wish I had a great camera to have captured all of it!
I'm sad because the thought of not seeing Harrison Ford in this role just hasn't registered with me yet. I hope there are some surprise in the movie, some cameos, to give the movie a good send-off.
Harrison Ford! A salute!
Have a good day.

May The Fourth Be With You! It is Star Wars Day today. Celebrating everything Star Wars. If you are a Star Wars fan, which movie is your favorite? favorite characters?
I think my favorite is the first Star Wars movie. It's not a Star Wars movie unless I see the movie crawl "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...It started everything and movies haven't quite been the same since. I think I started being a George Lucas fan with THX 1138 and American Graffiti.
Favorite characters...not easy. Princess Leia, Yoda, Darth Vader are some of my favorites.
Have a good day.
Sincerely,
-Donna
