I just listened to this as an audiobook last year; I can't figure out why it's not in any of my histories (Goodreads, library, Kindle, or Audible. I have to have gotten it from somewhere! I think it's something of a recent novel; I'm pretty sure it's from the last decade.

It's a dual POV (the audiobook has two narrators) about a Nazi abortion doctor in one of the Jewish ghettos. His father got him the job. There's a lot about the tension between his father, a Nazi official, and the doctor, who's at best ambivalent about the Nazis, and grows to hate them during the course of the novel.

He gives an abortion to a woman whose daughter is the other POV in the novel. She's snuck out of the ghetto and somehow ends up at a special "school" which turns out to be some sort of Lebensborn home, in which the children (and babies of the older girls) are adopted out to Arian homes.
