Contact support and ask them to move you and your books to a new profile. You shouldn't have been given that profile https://www.goodreads.com/about/conta...
Edit: please don't change your name like that. You are not only changing it for your books but for books by another author. They now have a different authorship that is incorrect. Ask in this group instead and we'll point you in the right direction.

Apologies, I'm a bit confused. This has always been my profile - then a wave of low-content titles were added to it in 2021 despite them not being mine. Why do I need to have my 2 romance titles moved to a new profile?

Goodreads uses bots to import book records into the database. The bot is not intelligent to recognize who is who and which books are yours and which are not. It just imports the information exactly as it is on amazon or wherever it's getting the information from. You shouldn't have the default profile because all the automatic imports go there.
There are too many books to move manually and librarians cannot edit verified profiles. We don't have the tools to do it as we are volunteers. You have to contact Goodreads support. And you should mention you changed your name. They should be able to sort it out and move the books to L. Madison. Due to the name change it's a mess. I suppose you are actually the only Lex Madison on Goodreads. You should list all the books that are yours when you contact them and tell them to move the rest to L. Madison instead.

Unfortunately, the three books mentioned in that post are still showing on my profile. What's the timeframe, please, for the system to refresh?
As mentioned, these books have been added and removed from my profile before. If the bots keeping bringing them back in (causing work for the librarians) it may be a process issue for Goodreads to address.
