(Mind if she tries to escape but Olivia will catch her using a magic time-stop spell on her and then convinces her that Olivia wants to help her?)
((Yeah, she's gonna get stuck in a closet or something.))She flew directly into a window that looked open, in a little supply closet, flapping her tiny wings against the glass. It was just really clean. However, she was now cornered.
(Actually how about she accidentally ended up turning herself into a statue with a tool there, and Olivia restores her?)
((Okay.))She froze, her wings beating against the glass, as her face peered through at the trees outside.
Olivia took the timestopped shapeshifter bird and took her back to her room, closed the door again and made sure she couldn't escape before she cast a spell to allow Aisling to move again.
(That one she shouldn't know of anything that happened when she was frozen or even that she was frozen until she realized that she isn't where she was before.)
(That one she shouldn't know of anything that happened when she was frozen or even that she was frozen until she realized that she isn't where she was before.)
She flew forwards and was shocked to find she wasn't in the same place. She flew to the top of a shelf and glared down at Olivia, hurt and resentment in her humanesque eyes.
"And I want to trust you Aisling, I really do. I want you to be apart of our family, but I'm not sure that you won't try to betray us, as you seemed very upset over being my pet..." Olivia said, looking at her up there. "I want to help you, please just let me help you."
She turned into a kitten and pounced back onto the bed, curling up there and refusing to acknowledge Olivia. She was giving her the silent treatment. What, she'd betray them? The girl had kidnapped her, forced her into a position of degradation and humiliation, and then -after being dragged through a magical portal by a mystical urge- accused her of going off and telling people where they all were. She didn't know where they were, and at this point, she didn't care. Anywhere was better.
Olivia sighed. "I am truly sorry for what you had to go through this last week, but just think of how I treated you, I cared for you, loved you, and I still want to love you. But not as a pet, but as a human, as an equal. To give you the one thing that I don't think you've ever felt before, A loving sister, and a loving home. A home where you'll never be rejected, where you won't have to steal, where you won't be feared, where you can feel like you belong instead of being the outsider always looking in. But I can only help you feel that if you let me."
She looked at her, turning into a child again, her arms wrapped around her knees. "Even as a person, you treat me like a pet. You hurt me when I do nothing."
"You mean the petrifying you before? That's just how we do things here with people who are not supposed to be here, and I didn't think you were my pet at that time. I am sorry about that." She explained as she attempted to rub the girl's back. "But I do know what it's like to be rejected, scorned and feared." She added, "and I know that the best place for people like us is having a home where we can get away from that. And I promise you that you can get away from it here. We'll embrace your powers and care for you here, not fear you and try to send you away or try to suppress your powers."
"You did it again," she said, "when I was in the corner." The fear was gone, replaced with a burning resentment. She was entitled to her freedom! They weren't allowed to keep her. "I know what that's like too," she admitted, "But only because I like being alone, and I like scaring people, and I don't want or need anyone. I don't need anyone to embrace me or my powers, and I sent myself away. No one can suppress my powers but you, so why should I stay with you?" She crossed her arms and stared with her big eyes.
"Because we can help you, give you a life more then just a thief or a girl lost to society."
(Mind if Olivia uses a spell to use mental images or some of her memories to help convince her? Or call her servant that's good with hypnosis and have the servant hypnotize Aisling?)
(Mind if Olivia uses a spell to use mental images or some of her memories to help convince her? Or call her servant that's good with hypnosis and have the servant hypnotize Aisling?)
(Well the mental images might not be an instant convincer, but a way to persuade her to let them take her into town on their terms, and not try to run.)
((Even if she runs, she'll teleport right back. Don't try to control Aisling, please; I'm just letting her act how she would under the circumstances. Define 'mental images'. I don't want you defining Aisling's past for her.))
(More of images of her past, they would be under your control [as it's your char] but it would be like memories coming up that would be exactly like what Olivia's talking about, and then Olivia'd have a couple that would show what it might be like living with them, and being in a home where they'd love her. That's what I'm thinking, that and also she'll have to get used to magic being used on everyone including herself eventually.)
((I am just going to say this, sorry if we seem like were power playing a little but well it's hard not to with mind magic stuff))
((She's not going to like that last part. Ever. But I'll supply the memories as your character talks.))
((It does seem so, just a little, but I understand how difficult it is, so I won't freak out or really super do anything about it. It's just that I want to write out what Aisling sees from her past, and anything that has to do with her or her character/past/future/currentself, etc. I'm not going to let her be mind controlled or become a pet or something.))
(Okay.)
Olivia cast a spell on Aisling, that made her think of memories that co-ensided with what Olivia was talking about. "How many times have you watched other kids with loving families? And haven't you ever envied them?"

((Yeah, I am always iffy with mind magic in every rp I am in, I try to avoid power play but yeah again I am really sorry, tell us if you fell like were going to far))
"I've seen dozens," she shrugged, remembering looking in on one of many foster homes, from the outside as a bird. "I only envy that they get beds and warmth and food. I don't want a family unless it's my own, and because they don't want me, I don't want them, so I'm happy as I am."
((Yeah, it is really hard for me as well I love mind magic and mind control stuff, so thank you for understanding))
"Haven't you watched kids your age, with other families, ones that loved them no matter what?" Olivia asked, "with siblings and friends, and being able to enjoy things? Haven't you wanted that? To be able to not have to hope you don't get caught stealing your next meal?"
( I do too... Maybe we should make some permanent chars that are kinda around just to be more of mind controlled? But not just slaves, have them like Meta's which chars use just for controlling for some reason.)
"Just think, think of how many times you've almost gotten caught, or haven't there been at least a few times where you were caught?" She asked.
( don't forget the memory spell thing is still active)
( don't forget the memory spell thing is still active)
She smiled, because she'd never really gotten caught. Unless she was teasing people whom she'd stolen from. She frowned at the memories, and about being hit and knocked around. Normally, she just flew away. She didn't answer for a moment. "Those times were my fault."
"But even so, have you had anyone that wanted you around?" She asked, "or have you had people that wanted to get rid of you, kill you, capture you?"
"How many times have you been chased out of towns or hurt by people wanting to kill you or experiment on you?" She asked.
(I'm on a phone too.)
(I'm on a phone too.)
She shrugged. Lots of times, actually, but experiment on her? Nobody that she knew of. A few chases darted through her mind.
"Just remember the times where people tried to shoot you, or choke you, or almost did manage to kill you, just imagine if you had people that would protect you from bad people like that?"
(Would it help her to accept their "offer" if there was a few scary events where something happens to Aisling or people try to attack her and Olivia saves her from that?)
(Would it help her to accept their "offer" if there was a few scary events where something happens to Aisling or people try to attack her and Olivia saves her from that?)
"They didn't. I'm a thief, but a cute thief." She sighed, though she did remember running from many a victim who threatened to kill her, shoot her, or wring her little neck. ((There should probably be a close call where she tries to run away and gets attacked for her powers, maybe?))
(I was thinking of an event where she gets caught but as the person is about to do her in, Olivia saves her. Then when Olivia sees that Aisling had a reaction to that which helped being her closer, Olivia would covertly plan a few other events where she ended up again saving Aisling, but those events she didn't know Olivia set up, but perhaps that being revealed could be part of an escalation later on that leads to why she might try to run away or confront them way later.)
"Haven't you ever wished to have a normal life though?" Olivia asked.
