Okay so had a very suddenly busy month and along with exams I'm not sure if I'm going to fit this in, I will try my hardest but this is permission to go ahead without me and I'll catch up at somepoint <3 I'm sorry

I’m really sorry, but I might not have a chance to read in this one. My tests are really starting to stress me out, and I don’t know if I can do a buddy read too. Do you think we can read this next month? When me and Drew are not doing any exams and tests?

yeah! that works. i’m already about 1/5 through it, so i’m gonna continue and we can still talk about it when you guys read it

shockingly, im very close to DNFing this book. the pacing feels wrong for the topic of the book and im finding a lot of the characters highly unlikeable. its also dual pov, which I've never been that big of a fan of, but the way this is written, feels like two people just passed the book back and forth without really reading what the other wrote. it took nearly 12 chapters to get to any sort of action and I've heard the core plot point (what i picked the book up for) isn't until 70% through...however, i want to finish it so im still able to discuss it with both of you (and anyone else who joins this buddy read)
i think im gonna DNF this book. its not holding my attention and the reasons mentioned in my previous message. this isn't to discourage you two (and any others who join this buddy read) from reading it, as it might be something you like. I got to the end of chapter 14 so I can discuss up to there if/when you begin reading
