The Mating of Michael
4 stars
I really liked Michael and James. How Michael slowly got under James' skin. However, I kinda agree with James' reaction to Michael's sex surrogacy. Its something that should have been discussed and I thought it was resolved a little too easily , suddenly he was ok with it.
I enjoyed the cast of secondary characters especially Marnie.

I am good just saw a book in a series I like and tha I had just checked out of the library and went for it rather than looking everywhere to find a m/m member who had a favorites list.

I'm still looking.

Revew: Another 5-star read from Jill Shalvis! I shouldn't be surprised, but I wasn't sure if the Lucky Harbor series would suit me the way Animal Magnetism did. It did! I am happy to say I all ready own several books in this series, so I plan on some good reading adventures ahead. Regarding this story, I liked getting to know all three sisters. They were all very different. I was thrilled Jax was the love interest, as I was in love from the moment we met him on the highway. I do love the character and relationship development in this book. It was such a relaxing read for me that it was almost over too quickly.

:-) Elaine

And I was just informed by my library that the newest Animal Magnetism book is now available. I'm so excited!

Review: I've become addicted to Charlaine Harris's cozy mysteries series. She is a master at characterization and capturing the essence of the small town. Harper is an interesting character and I enjoyed her matter of fact personality. The mystery was good although I did figure out the twist before the end. Looking forward to Harper and Tolliver's further adventures.

I don't think you'll be disappointed :0)

Review:
This book is one of the reasons I'm not crazy about this series. I was looking forward to Lothaire's story and had heard many good things. Ugh. Not my cup of tea. The storyline was still intriguing as are all the different characters but I could not fully enjoy the relationship between Elizabeth the backwoods Appalachian girl and Lothaire the millenium old vampire who basically kills everyone who gets in his way. It took too long for him to soften and Ellie's back and forth "I want to have sex with him" and "I hate him, he's evil" got veryold. And while I really liked her personality, the caricature Appalachian hillbilly stuff was annoying. It may be awhile before I begin the next one.

Review:
Another lovely romantic entry in the Animal Magnetism series. Jill Shalvis is my favorite contemporary author for a reason - I love her humor, which is never too much. I love her characters, which are flawed but completely loveable and her storylines are never overwhelmed with too much angst. In other words, they tend to be perfect. And this one was no different.

Review: Loved it! Truly wish this was a series starter. I'll miss these characters. Hardly took my eyes out of the pages of this one. I borrowed it from the library, but will own it, as I can see myself re-reading in the future. Very few books get read again in my world...there are just so many others to devour. I laughed a lot and even cried at one point. A story that could really happen, this one's a keeper!

Review: I'm a bit disappointed in this final book in the series. It wasn't as good as the others mainly because the heroine is unappealing. She is keeping a secret that turns out to be rather ridiculous and not worth the angst it causes. Moreover, she has numerous TSTL moments. The hero is great though and there is potential for additional books if the author is so inclined.

I'll take a break for a few rounds and come back with renewed vigor.
