It's a good thing you're on this team, Leslie, otherwise I'd be in real trouble with the themes that are being called :0)

Review: I did not like this book at first. I felt the female character was too conflicted and felt the characters were not developed. Halfway through the book the story really took off and the characters became more real. Had I not been reading it for this challenge I probably wouldnt have finished it. But I'm glad I did. I will read the next one in the series.

Review:
Nice, quick romantic suspense set in a small town in Alabama. Daisy is the town librarian who has decided to change her life and her style. Jack is the new Sheriff in town and he is all for the changes Daisy is making. In the midst of those changes she gets caught up in a sex trafficking ring and her life is put in danger. The romance is sweet and fun, the suspense is minimal but enough and the action moves quickly.

A good read but not Spectacular. I never felt an emotional connection to any of the characters and it just seemed to complicated to allow me to suspend disbelief. Cary and Isaac are grifters working different cons on the same target. They fall in love, but it takes a third grifter trying to remove them to get them to work together. I was hoping for more but still glad I read it.

Review: This is a great series (although there have been one or two weaker books) and this installment is one of the best. I really enjoyed the slow burn office romance type story.

The Best Man
4 stars
I read this for a challenge featuring books with love triangles but to me this wasn't a love triangle at all. That being said it was a good story.
Jon's ex leaves him for a woman and 6 months later after asking him to be his best man at the wedding, tells him to move on.
That evening he goes into a local club and meet Liam, the bartender.
What starts off as casual soons takes to takes a more serious tone and draws the notice of Travis, Liam's ex.
A nice start to a series which I will continue to read.

Oh boy...well, actually boys...lol. I'm in trouble on this one, as I'm on both Team Roth AND Team Zayne. I can't pick! I need to buy book 2 now. This started out interesting, but slow. The Warden/ Gargoyle thing was a new paranormal for me, but I've read several books with Demons in them. I laughed at the thought of coming home to discover company was visiting (in gargoyle form on the roof!). I liked the sweet romance of Layla's unigue situation at 17. There are a few swoon-worthy quotes I'll never forget. Not as good as Lux or Covenant series were, but I'll definitely read more.

Great job, Team!
I finished my book and will post my review tonight.

Review:First time reading this author and I was underwhelmed. The writing was utilitarian, the characters very one dimensional especially the secondary ones and the sex scenes were often cringe worthy. That being said, the storyline did flow okay and it was amusing on occasions without being too heavy handed. I can't say I'll be reading more anytime soon, however.

Review:
Another really good book in the Matter of time Series. Unlike the others that I have read in this series, Sam kage And Jory Harcourt have cameo appearance but are not the main focus. For this story Duncan Stiel, a homicide detective, who know Sam and Jory and helped protect Jory, and Aaron Sutter, an ex of Jory from when Sam and Jory where apart are the main Characters. Jory introduced them. Duncan goes undercover for taskforces. first to get a mob enforcer who killed three men in Chicago and then to get a Drug smuggler who ordered a cover up shooting of a dead man to protect the drug smuggler business. I just have to say you have to read the scene when Aaron joins Duncan in the second undercover job to get into the wealthy drug smugglers private resort.

Review: Not your everyday military guy meets cute girl romance. I was ensnared immediately by Shane. I liked how Josie's past meshed so well with his life. I was shocked at one point toward the end, as I didn't see a major plot twist coming. I found that I own book 3, but not 2 and 4, so I will be purchasing them in the near future.

Review: Another series that takes every paranormal trope known to man and shoves it all into one book. Navy SEALs and shifters and psychics and fae and witches. The only thing missing is the kitchen sink - not good! The plot is also predictable and the romance feels forced - wait, it is forced because Jax will literally die if Kira doesn't mate him. Not continuing with the series.

This book was very sad. It deals with abuse of children and death of children and that was hard to read. It was slow starting as well.

Great job, Team!

I totally understand - I know it can be hard when you are scrambling to keep on top in real life :) If you can just fix up the week 2 selection post with the shelf name and not just the link, that would be great!

Jeremy goes to college hoping to find a boyfriend.
Beck, is the captain of the wrestling team but is deep in the closet. The two are instantly attracted to each other but Beck cant go further fo fear that he will lose his schlorship.
I enjoyed the story. Some angst but a HEA in the end.

The Rainbow Connection - Volume I
3 stars
First of all let me say I really enjoyed about 90% of this book.
Liam's writings were funny, especially his foray into the fetish world and Manny subsequently dressing as a leather daddy.
However, for myself and alot of my MM reading friends a HFN as a minimum but preferably a HEA is a must. Sadly, the ending of the story wasn't to my taste. It kind of just ends.
The author mentions a part 5 but I dont know if it was ever available as the title wasn't recognized.
Had the ending been better, then it would have been a 4 star read.

Review
Another solid entry in the Nightstalkers series and I think this is the last. I've always been intrigued by this series as it is written by a man. It gets into the real nitty gritty of flying in enemy territory and you definitely feel like you are part of the action. And yet it still manages to have a wonderful romance. This one was similar to the last one in many ways but I liked the heroine a lot better. Despite her being a "tough" girl, the romance was surprisingly sweet. My only complaint was making her from New Orleans and trotting out all the worn out cliches - she was brought up in a Storyville brothel. Are there even brothels anymore and I'm pretty sure Storyville falls into the category of "Ain't 'dere no more". Not only that but we have a crooked "sheriff" of New Orleans - there is no such thing. It got extremely tiresome to see my city so maligned in the pages of an otherwise pretty good romance.

Review:
Al I have to say is the only thing that made it three stars was that it was extremely well written grammatically and the snarkiness of the narrator. The story could have been great if the characters had any depth and the ending as mentioned by Lisa didn't totally suck. While not necessary if it fits the story a HEA or HFN in a romance is a plus. This ending just sort of petered into nothingness. If the grammatical writing wasn't so good this would have been one of my rare DNF's. if I was rating on just how the story moved me it would be one and a half stars. ( yes it was that well written grammatically)

Review: I loved this book. It had so many twists and turns. The MC has a one night stand and then goes home a week later and he is sitting on her couch at her parents house. It would spoil the book to tell you why. But it sets off a cascade of twists and turns.

You need the week # in this post Roger.

Review: Wow! Couldn't put this down. Still totally in love with BOTH Roth and Zayne, so I can't help her pick. This one was all story, action, and interesting happenings. Some of the 'huh, didn't see that coming' were just awesome and one completely caught me off-guard to the point of almost needing cpr. I loved the twists and turns to this series. It now rivals her others, but I wish it wasn't just going to be a trilogy. I know I'll need more!

Review: This series is getting better and better. The murder mystery is both fascinating and diabolical. Sebastian and Kat's relationship undergoes a pivotal change and it will be interesting to see what happens next.
