Read six of crows first or shadow and bone?

I haven’t seen shadow and bone or read it. I bought the SOC book because it was recommended to me but now I learned that they are connected. Does it matter if I haven’t read shadow and bone before I start reading six of crows?

No it doesn’t really matter the storylines are separate 💕
I would read Six of Crows first though it’s SOOOO much better than S&B 💖😘

I read Six of Crows first and loved it! Unfortunately Shadow and Bone was pretty boring in comparison, but I loved the background info from it.. So if you want to get to know the world start SaB -> SoC, but if you’re looking for a fun adventure, just start with SoC it’s not hard to grasp

S&B is good, but it's less entertaining than Six of Crows so you might want to read it first so youre prepared (and pleasantly surprised) for SoC

the TV show, you need to watch that AFTER BOTH SERIES because it has events (therefore spoilers) of both

I'm really weird about things being in chronological order so I just finished SaB, I'm starting SoC after I finish my current read. I will be honest SaB is good but not OMG good, so I'm looking forward to SoC

So I always heard to read Shadow and bone more cause it explains it better but I did here it’s bad and Six of Crows is good. That’s another reason to read SoB first cause I always learnt to first read or show the bad one then the good haha
