I read this book and its sequel to my son several years ago. I would now like to read them to my daughter but I can't remember the titles. In one of the books, she works to save some kind of animals that are being raised for fur. In another book she goes to an island where trees are being cut down. I think her parents might have been kidnapped in that book as well. I feel like the title involved the child's name. Thanks for any help!

I read part of what might be the first book in the series. But the book I read was about a girl who'd body was irreperably damanged, so her brain is implanted in a chip's body.

Not the same one, but sounds interesting! I managed to track it down. It's called Evangeline Mudd and the Great Mink Escapade. Whew!
