WolfPrincessArc | 1 comments I read these books when I was in middle school so it has to be in the 2010-1016 since the author (male) gave the school a signed copy of his “new” book series. I swear the series has the word “inheritance” in the title. I believe it is a 3-4 book series. I remember it having a yellow/orange ish cover with a mustang on the cover. The main characters uncle dies and leave him everything because he was the only one that saw good in him and treated him nicely, but the uncle knew that the family wouldn’t support the main character so he made conditions to earn this inheritance. So the main character has to leave home and go find a mountain man that his uncle told him to find. This mountain man teaches him. The main character also has to tame his uncles horse, which is part of his inheritance.

Jacob, those things will be all yours after you meet the conditions he had outlined. Following your two years with Zed Hafenbrack and one year with the Sioux Indians, you will return here and receive further information on your Uncle Zac's holdings." The attorney [in San Francisco] smiled...
