Issue with Series

I am a librarian but I am having the most difficult time adding books to a series. What do you do if a book doesn't show up in the (add books) section when editing a series? The book I need to add isn't showing up.

Sometimes, if the book was just added to the database, it won't show up in search. Also, the surefire way to add the book is to use the ASIN or ISBN number to do the search for the book. Hope this helps!
