Review So I know that this is a big bestseller and all, but I'm sorry to say it really didn't work so great for me. I found it pretty depressing honestly. Addie goes through her life, her long long life, with no one remembering her after they meet her. I can see how that might be cool for the first few years, but after that, the loneliness of it would just be too much to bear. I did love the scenes from when she was a girl growing up in France, it gave the story some depth and character and was also written in past tense which I prefer. The rest of the book was present tense which I find really annoying. Anyway, I'm sorry to say that I had to struggle to finish this one.

All good - I actually didn't finish that book when it first came out though i've been meaning to try again since everyone else i know seems to love it. So good on you for persevering.
