How long does sequels usually come out in Fantasy?

I read this book really fast, and I was wondering how fast does it usually take for the next book to come out in a series? This one was free and I just happened upon it while I was waiting for a bus, and it's great. I mean, it is like way up there great. Like just below The Song of Ice and Fire, Lord of the Rings, and Wheel of Time.

I almost wish I knew there were going to be more books coming out before I read it, because I don't wanted to be one of those crazy never get finished The Song of Ice and Fire things.

So, back to my question. How soon does the average next one come out?
