I got my first Kobo book tonight after not finding an e-copy of it in any other format. I downloaded the Kobo app on my Lenovo tablet, as well as accessed the book on my PC at the Kobo website. The book was not readable in either location. The print was too small and blurred, and no setting adjustments would make the print larger or unblurred. I contacted Kobo and all they could do was offer me a refund, which I took. But it was an automated help chat, and I'm wondering now if something else would have been tried if I was chatting with a person. Or are some Kobo books simply unreadable?

I assume that Kobo reads ebooks in the EPUB format (I had a kobo years ago.) If so, you could try the free Calibre ebook reader. It is also capable of translating between many formats.
