Series description:
<i> The Lives of the Saints</i> is a sixteen-volume collection of lives of the saints by Sabine Baring-Gould, first published between 1872 and 1877 by John Hodges, of London, and later republished in Edinburgh in 1914.

The volumes are arranged according to the month of each saint's principal feast day, with July, October, and November split into two volumes each and the final volume being an Appendix.

Hi! I'm not sure what you mean by "collection." This is a single work published in 16 volumes. It is not just 16 books on a related subject—it's intended to be read as a single work. The closest comparison I can think of is something like Livy's "History of Rome," which GR considers to be a series even though it is published in multiple volumes.
