SOLVED. Children's chapter book - 1970s - kid with helicopter [s]

This is a Scholastic book I think that I read in the early 1970s. All I remember is that one character (a kid) had access to a helicopter (or knew someone with that access) - early in the book, he used the helicopter to blow all the frisbees and balls off the local school's roof, and the adults (who had limited imaginations) assumed that the only way that he could have gotten the stuff off the roof was by trespassing (and climbing onto the school's roof).

The book took place in suburban America. Don't remember the cover, but I'd say the genre was adventure.

Thanks. Based on the very limited excerpt I read, this appears to be written at a pretty low reading level; I'm pretty sure the one I'm looking for was at a bit higher level, but I could be wrong.

Found it in a pile of books my parents brought to my house after they cleaned up a bit - it's Helicopter Mystery by Mary Elting.
