birdie | 2 comments meet me in the future by Kameron Hurley, it’s a collection of short stories of most centered around a plague or war. as depressing as it sounds, certain stories captured dark humor and most others just made you really think about being a human being. the stores at the beginning are a bit slow, but the ending is more than worth it. i recommend listening to the spaceships EP by queen of the static opera while reading the end, makes the whole experience tie together!! <3

Kerrstein | 3 comments The Likeness by Tana French. A long read that's worth every page. You find yourself eager to flip the the page and that's a feeling I'd missed for longer than I'd like to admit. I'm glad I found this book for a dollar at a thrift store because now I'm going through the authors' entire Dublin Murder Squad series.
