Does anybody have a novel that they read and didn’t appreciate but a couple years later you gave it another shot or you had a few more life experiences that change your perception on that book and now you love it?
Most of the books I read in high school I didn’t like at the time but I’ve been rereading some, like The Stranger by Albert Camus, and I definitely like it a lot more now.
Well, I'm not usually a rereader but I do have books that I've bought and haven't read for so long and then when I read them I'm like "Why didn't I read this sooner" yk? Caraval was one of those books for me
“ A Little life “ …. Ik but the first 22 pages were kinda dull (ofc well written) but a week or two I decided to give it another go and LET ME TELL YOU I UNDERSTOOD THE HYPE
the perks of being a wallflower for sure, i read it in 8th grade during my state testing and found it so boring and i impactful. i reread it back in january and LOVED it, i think i just needed the experience of highschool and the recovery of mental illness to fully understand the books true potential

At first i didn't really like it because I'm not that into classic lit yet and I'm not used to the english used in classics but after seeing some reviews of it i decided to continue since they said it'll get better as you go on and they were actually right and its one of my faves now
