Did anyone else get this kind of vibe?

Ever since they first introduced the twins, did anyone else get kind of an incest-y kind of feeling? I mean some of the language and interaction between the two of them really made me uncomfortable. I didn't know what to make of a lot of it.
Anyone else notice that too, or was it just me?

There are some twins out there who are "connected". It has been studied by multiple sociologists. I got more of sense that it was like some sibling relationships where one person can't experience a life event unless everyone shares (and I mean really shares) in it. If not shared, then guilt abounds. I never got a sense either that the parents encouraged the girls to be individuals except in a physical sense (one sick, one well) but allowed them to just run amok. Perhaps that is also because one girl was in such poor physical shape.
