(view spoiler)[ Andrew finally came for a visit. He's really an ass. I'm glad Maggie told him where to go.
I like Maggie, she's smart, strong and trying to figure things out. I like the friendship her and Cal built. I think she is going to be surprised when she learns he is a lawyer.
I think she is going to stay in Sullivan's crossing, Cal I'm not sure yet! (hide spoiler)]

I already like the way this is written. Its easy and the narration is good too.

I'm thinking her and Cal will end up staying in Sullivan's crossing. I like Cal.
Maggies dad is rough around the edges but I like him for the most part.
Her storming the cabin to save the little girl! I was a bit surprised it was this lively. I thought this was a peaceful small town romance!!! (hide spoiler)]

Chelsea must have been so scared. Maggie is a bit fool hardy but she had a point she could try to help and she did. I guess unless we are in that situation we don't know what we'd do. I hope I would do the same as Maggie. (hide spoiler)]

What do you think is going to happen in Maggie's lawsuit?
I liked Maggie's stepdad. She is lucky to have two dads who love and accept her for who she is

I think Carr does a great job of weaving the reader into the story. I don't want to put this down. I want to hear more about the hikers, Sully and Cal and Maggie

Megan I'm enjoying the quotes at the beginning of each chapter. Do you have a favorite one?
I'm also enjoying all the subtle and not so subtle bits of humor! I think my favorite is Maggie constantly calling Cal by a different name especially after she learned it was California.

Yeah I'm the same with wanting to hear more. I'm really enjoying it is better than I thought. You've read the other series by this author how does this compare to that?

I'm hoping she follows his advice but I think its going to go badly and she'l end up being passionate which will be used against her and it will go to a full on trial where she'll be pulled apart I think. What do you think?

I liked Walter too. What did you think of her mum? I wasn't keen she was exactly as described. Snobby. (hide spoiler)]

I don't mind the quotes. I have heard them but wasn't paying close attention to them. I couldn't tell you what any were. I don't have quotes. I'm not really into that. Are you?
Its a very easy read. I'd probably read/listen to this again in honesty.

I'm so glad I was wrong about her court case.
Something I admire about this is the characters are flawed but not in a bad way, just to make them almost real.
What did you think of Cal's court case for Becky? I was almost expecting something bad to happen but it didn't thankfully. Do you think they should both go back to their careers or are they done? Now we've seen Cal in action, I'd like to see more with Maggie in action too, to really make a decision but I almost hope they do but be together... (hide spoiler)]

I think at one time I might have said that I love the other series and nothing could top it but I loved this one too. Carr has a way of creating these amazing relationships that makes you fall in love with her characters. You feel like you are actually there. Not every author can do that but I think Carr has it down to a tee.

I finished the book so it is hard to answer some of your questions without giving anything away. I 'll try my best. I also thought Maggie would be going to trial.

Maggie's mom...self centered. It makes you wonder what Walter sees in her but that is answered in the storyline so I don't want to give that away if you haven't gotten there yet.

I like the quotes. Sometimes I find one that is inspirational. My favorite is the first one .

It was hard to put this down.. Once I got going I couldn't stop

I'm glad we were both wrong about the court case.

Becky is my least favorite character. Cal is good... Very good at his job.

Ending(view spoiler)[ I think the last 15% of the book was a bit more fast paced. I think Cal will enjoy a more slower pace of life and be content at Sullivan's Crossing. I think Maggie will try and do both.
