had really beautiful drawings and I remember the princess crying in rags at some point. the king saves his daughter - main idea was the love of a father and daughter I think

wow that is a wonderful list! but no, unfortunately they all look a little too bright and happy.I can't say I remember specific colors, but there were a lot of dark shades, so possibly a deep blue or green?
